I'm not 100% sure on this, but I remember reading that the colour of the blood is important. If it's bright red, then its probably haemorroids or perhaps a cut or something, because it means the bleeding is fresh and caused by an aggrivation of some sort. If the blood is dark red, then it could be far worse. Still get it checked out though, doesn't hurt to be on the safe side
