i remember agassi once saying during a federer vs roddick QF at US Open 2007, something along the lines of:

"If both these guys get into a rally lasting more than 5 or 6 shots, Roddick should just belt the ball into the backstop because he is not going to win those rallies."

and also, he said something that I found useful:
"The thing about tennis is that you don't have to play your best, you just have to play better than your opponent on the day".

calmed me down heaps since I was always such a fussy perfectionist, agassi is the MAN!!!

Why on earth is Vic Rauter calling tennis? He's clearly out of his element and seemed to panic a couple of times when he tried to pronounce a couple of names. At one point he asked Peter Burwash to help him out!

Koenig

"Watching Federer play sometimes, the jaw drops, the eyes protrude, you are making sounds, that your wife comes in from another room".

Adler is just silent, then makes a comment after the jaw dropping the eyes protruding, Wawrinka hits a double fault.

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Looks like Koenig was quoting from David Foster Wallace's NY Times essay about Federer, there ("Federer as religious experience").

Default Chris Fowler is so disrespectful

It's time for him to be fired and never see a tennis court again.

He consistently laughs at players. I want to smack him when he chuckles obnoxiously. He consistently puts down Davydenko and other Europeans he doesn't know well personally or doesn't care for. He really doesn't understand the players' games at all. It's time for ESPN to leave him to American football. No, it's long past.

I don't think that's too far-fetched. Davydenko has no grand slams titles, mental mug, but has a similar baseline game.

I was watching Gonzalez-Raonic earlier this week and I believe Koening was remarking about how Gonzalez "had Soderling by the short and curlies at the French before losing it"
