Blaž Kavčič Thread
The crazy and fun loving Slovene deserves his own thread. He has been a part of the Slovenian DC squad with Gregorc and his good friend Zemlja.
Thanks to Milan for this pics.

Re: Blaz Kavcic Thread
Kavcic has won 2 Challengers this year on clay. One in Alessandria and the other in Constanta.
Pics from Alessandria.

Re: Blaz Kavcic Thread
Let's go Blaz! I know nothing about him, which is to be honest why I'm a fan. I want him to succeed so I can see how he plays.
By the way, how do you pronounce Blaz?

His name is Blaž (written in Slovene).
If I'm not mistaken, 'ž' is pronounced as the 's' in "treasure".

Re: Blaz Kavcic Thread
Blaz lost the final of Rijeka to Lorenzi, but he has reached a career high of #140 and he won't have much to defend for the rest of the year.

Re: Blaz Kavcic Thread
Get in, Blaž!
He hopes he'll get a WC for Umag (tourney director said he'll do what he can for that to happen). He also hopes to get direct entry to the AO next year.

Re: Blaz Kavcic Thread
He has good chances to get direct entry at the AO, a few more challengers on clay where it can happen for him.

Re: Blaz Kavcic Thread
Blaz, Gregorc and Zemlja are playing in the Group II, Europe/Africa Davis Cup.
They are at home against Lithuania and are playing on clay.

Re: Blaz Kavcic Thread
Kavcic def. Sabeckis 6-2 6-3 6-1
2-0 for Slovenia. Very easy wins for both singles.

Re: Blaz Kavcic Thread
Kavčič is now no. 139 (Slovenian best position in history)!
And Slovenia beat Lithuania 5-0 (lost only one set)! Now will Slovenia play against Latvia.

I just noticed that. Good work by his agent, when the wild card could have been easily given to a Croatian. Let's hope he gets a kind draw.
