1st set for Novak, fysio is back and there's a doctor too now.
Nico made a joke with them, at least he's still able to smile

Guess he asked them for painkillers or something...

(And usually I don't sit on the couch cheering with my Ecuadorian flag, but I've never used it before and Nico needs it now

)

Nico retired at 3-1 in the 2nd

There was a fabulous dropshot at the beginning of the 2nd set at 0-0, 15-30 on Nico's serve. It ended a rally of 33 shots

A shame Nico had to retire, the commentators agreed, they said Nico was always a joy to watch, because of his nice game and how he fights

seems his grass season consists of Wimbledon only (he's in the MD), then, back to clay events, Braunschweig's challenger f.ex.

btw: Nico's officially a legend now, he's leading the list of players who won the most 5 set matches (among active players) and on 8th place in the 'all-time' rank.

Oh, and I talked to Giova in Halle, he said that Nico was doing good, so I think the injury from RG shouldn't be too big

It's unbelievable, my big hero at a tournament in my country which is so small you constantly bump into players! I couldn't be having a better tennis year! I would've never believed anyone who told me that I'd get my flag signed by Nico and Giova in the same year and already so soon!

nico played the boodles challenge and lost to kohlschreiber in the semis it seems after having beaten simon, 13-11 in the champions tiebreak, don´t know more, sorry.

Of course I'll take pics! I have 7 GB in total on memory cards, I'll do my best to fill them... Who knows when the next opportunity comes along? If it takes another 4 years, he probably already retired

Devilder... hope that match gets aired here, two cuties on tv

But it should be ok for Nico, but I don't know how Devilder plays, never seen singles matches of him, just doubles

And Hanescu... Don't know about him either, I only know him from cute smiles he gives me at German tourneys

First 2 years ago at the Aachen challenger, asking me what a "Frikadelle" is and this year in Halle saying "No" with a big smile, when I offered he could walk with me under my huge umbrella, because rain was pouring out and he was waiting in one of the shops
