That is where Robby's coach is from and I thought WOW what a great thing to be able to do. Something like that is a great "perk" of being a Pro Tennis Player as far as I'm concerned Sadly Robby hasn't been playing tennis that well for some time now He was 15th in the World back in 2005 I believe it was, but has done NOTHING since
then

One Bryan is injured, so the other one can't play either. Typical Bryan attitude.

not that you care because you're so full of illogical hatred, but I don't think they're actually hurt; they have played every single week since IW and probably were just tired.

Why is there a points difference between first and second singles? This isn't the case in Davis Cup and I don;t see the point here either...

It follows the prize money distribution: #1 singles earns the largest percentage of the team's prize money.

But it still doesn't make any sense why there is any difference. Why is there less points available playing in the second tie? They're both as important as each other, surely?

It's an incentive to get top players to enter. The #1 singles players can earn as much (or more) prize money here by playing 3-4 matches as they could by playing 5 matches at another tournament.

So singles 1 is the highest ranked singles player of that country? In this case Troicki, Del Potro, Simon, Seppi, Schuettler, Soderling, Korolev and Querrey?

Generally yes. Some players don't play all the ties. It's up to the captain to submit the line-up for each tie designating who is playing #1 & #2 singles for that tie. (See the daily OOP threads in this forum.)

Thanks, but how do you know who is #1 and #2, because I don't see anything on that on the OOP on ATP-website...
