Re: Qué Será, Será - Buena suerte a Madrid Roger
I don't care if Rafa was injured, the courts/conditions don't suit him or if Roger had a "lucky" draw with Murray going out or what, I'm so proud & happy for Roger. Another title & on clay & a Masters event!

Me too.. Roger played pretty well, regardless of Nadal's play, and he didn't go to Mirkaland and he didn't choke in Spain Way Roger

OMG!!!! Its been a long time coming but its great to see he's won a match again against Nadal!
Played tactically well, he kept his cool, didn't give the Spaniard any rhythm, just went for it.
Bravo, Roger!!!! Take this confidence with you to RG!
*high five to my co Fedtards*

Re: Qué Será, Será - Buena suerte a Madrid Roger
federer didn't allow nadal to grind him for large portions of the match. everytime he had something, he pulled the trigger.
i just hope that when he gets those bps at RG against nadal if they do meet that he keeps playing aggressive.

Re: Qué Será, Será - Buena suerte a Madrid Roger
A few things:
1. All of the usual Nadal/Fed clay match tendencies reversed themselves.
--Federer took all the BP chances he got, and Nadal didn't.
--Federer played really well on the 2nd serve points, something he doesn't usually do.
--Federer remained calm even when he lost 40-0 leads (twice in the 2nd set) and didn't allow the games to go to deuce.
--Federer played well when serving to the Ad court, something he's probably only done about 3 or 4 times against Nadal.
2. Federer has a much easier time dealing with any opponent if he has BH dtl working; it doesn't even have to be the one snugging the line for a winner, but good, deep BH's dtl, near the baseline and somewhat near the sideline allow him to move the opponent around and not get caught in BH-BH (or BH-FH against Nadal0 exchanges. He couldn't hit a single one against Nadal at Wimby in a basleine exchance and it made things so difficult.
3. I love how everyone is now saying that he 'played with the right tactics' etc. He's always had a gameplan (other than Rg 2005) and has executed it well at times. His problem was that he never executed it during the BP's (on his serve or Nadal's). He did today and now he looks like a genius.
