Hm, interesting thread. Prog rock isn't exactly a genre that I know very well, so I'll be sure to look up some recommendations. Well, I somewhat know Anathema, but only their doom era.
You. Know. ANATHEMA???
Most underrated band of the past decade. I kid you not. Do check out their more current material too... it's amazing.
Looking at the last pages however... I can't believe I found someone else raving about Anneke, as I'm usually all alone in that. But she's not your country's best singer... She's the world's best singer
She's among the best, indeed. If you've ever heard her singing live in her acoustic shows... let's just say it's a heavenly experience.
They're up there for sure. Especially with British music worshipped as it is. I'll check their recent material for sure, Danny Cavanagh is one of the very few male singers I actually like.
Although Danny sings on some of their more recent material, it's actually his brother Vinnie who sings most of it.
Both have become excellent singers after a very wonky start ("Eternity" ), and right now I even prefer Danny to Vinnie.
Sadly, I've only seen videos... But when I'll have the time and means, it's at the top of my "to do" list
Though it's in those moments I really think I was born on the wrong continent
- yeah... well they're doing a Latin American tour soon (or even right now? I forgot the exact dates). If you get a chance at seeing them live, do go, as good as they are on their CDs, even better LIVE.

I'll look up some Yes for you soon.
Cowbell? I don't know that band, tell me, is it any good?
