Smile Wilson progression

Hi guys,

Just want to tap into the knowledge of all you Wilson experts out there.

Just wondering what the next logical racquet choice would be if I've been using a K Sting?

The Sting is excellent but I'm just curious to know what would be considered the next Wilson up from the Sting.

Particularly interested in what the next up would be in terms of power/weight.

Many thanks guys.

in a strictly linear progression through wilson's range the next step up from the k sting would be the k zen team (which now has a fx model as well). it is a slighlty smaller headsize and is a bit heavier, meaning is has a little more control and a little less power than the sting

Hi Jazar, you are the man as always.

It was suggested to me that the Surge was the next in line.

I take it that's not correct?

Also if you've got a couple of minutes could you give me your thoughts on the Sting please, strengths/weaknesses etc.

Cheers mate.

the surge would be a step on the the zen team.

the sting is a good racket for someone looking to progress from beginner to intermediate. its light, it has the weight of a beginner frame, but the headsize of a low level intermediate frame. its designed to be comfortable to use and to provide more control than other rackets of the same weight (which would tend to have larger headsizes)

Hi Jazar,

Thanks very much for that.

Can I ask finally, would the Surge be a progression from the Sting?

Would it be a worthwhile next racquet?

Cheers mate.

the surge is a progression from the sting, but is not the next racket in line. the surge has a smaller headsize and is heavier, meaning it is a more controlled oriented frame. its good for someone who knows what their doing on court and has decent control but is looking for more help in the power department
