Re: Rotterdam & Marseille 2009
The Acapulco move seems a bit strange but we'll see.
I don't understand why you (as long as many others here) are always so critical of Forget, Françoise.

Re: Rotterdam & Marseille 2009
I actually tone down my criticism of Forget a lot when I post on MTF! Really, I don't get what people (except the Sebarno & Mikapaulo fans, of course) can like about him.
L'Equipe also writes that only Blake could prevent Gaël from entering the top 10, btw (and he lost), but I don't get why they write that. I rather trust duong for this kind of things. We'll see, it's not so important.
Another article about Gaël, it' all about the Acapulco move, Forget is not pleased:

You're optimistic, the way Gilles is playing atm!

I trust him, he said himself that a crappy play in the first round doesn't mean you're unable to get to the final (and Jo and Gilles are the only ones I want to see lifting that trophy, now that Gaël is out I have quite simple fan reactions.)
Fran, do you mind giving a link towards Forget's interview in l'équipe ? I can't find anything on their site. And how was Hagelauer doubtful towards Gaël ? I always found Forget the coldest with him.

Re: Rotterdam & Marseille 2009
Gaël was so mad at Hagelauer 2 years ago (at the time of the DC tie against Romania when Forget didn't even take him as an alternate and picked only 4 guys):

I'm going to post the Forget interview in the DC thread. But you probably won't find it that bad.

Re: Rotterdam & Marseille 2009
"encore sorti au premier tour" is just referring to the fact that he has never won in Marseille, I guess.
Here's another link about the Hagelauer-Gaël issue:

Re: Rotterdam & Marseille 2009
The answer for Acapulco choice is He must choose his priorities & he should recognize it's an error Well it doesn't matter.

Fran I opened a new thread ("Guy Forget as DC captain") to answer you and explore the subject a little further.
http://www.menstennisforums.com/show...92#post8181792
You might want to post the Forget interview there...

Re: Rotterdam & Marseille 2009
I just saw that!
He was giving the priority to the DC for his schedule at the beginning, soulage:
LA COUPE DAVIS: « Ouais, je veux vraiment la jouer ! Après l’Open d’Australie, je disputerai les tournois en Europe pour être présent si je suis sélectionné. »
http://www.menstennisforums.com/show...&postcount=369
There must be a reason for this sudden change of mind. It was too impulsive again, but something must have made him give up on the DC at one point.

Re: Rotterdam & Marseille 2009
You mean somebody would have told him he has no or few chance to be selected
