  • 128 player draw -> 112 direct entries, 16 qualy spots (64 player qualy draw, 128 in Grand Slams)
- Entries will be based on ranking (rankings from two weeks before the start of the tournament)
- Tournament thread posted on Friday (two weeks before start of the tournament)
- Players have 10 days (from Friday till Sunday) to commit to the tournament for singles and this will be done by ranking. The first entry deadline is always Sunday 6 pm current time in Europe (CET or CEST)
.
-
On Sunday evening after seeing the entry lists, players that aren't among the 28 direct entries can move to another tournament which has free places or decide not to move and play the qualies there (only 1 change is allowed, still on ranking but late entries - LE's will go to the bottom of the entry list -> Players must withdraw from the tournament they've previously entered before being accepted in the entry list of another tournament as a late entry).
-
Unranked players will be listed in the order of commitment
- Friday is the deadline (the exact time is up to the tournament manager) for changes and the draws are made after that for qualies and MD.

Doubles
  • 16 team draw -> 14 direct entries, 2 qualy spots (max. 8 team qualy draw, 16 only in special occasions)
  • 32 team draw -> 28 direct entries, 4 qualy spots (max. 16 team qualy draw)
  • 64 team draw -> 56 direct entries, 8 qualy spots (max. 32 team qualy draw)
- Entries will be based on ranking (rankings from two weeks before the start of the tournament)
-
Doubles commitments start on the Friday the thread is opened. Friday (right before the tournament) is the deadline.

Challengers

Top 30 players in the singles entry rankings can't play them, except during the Davis Cup and Grand Slam second weeks and when there are no ATP tournaments played. They are allowed to play challengers in these weeks as late entries (LE), but they are not able to be seeded (qualifying or main draw).

Double commitment

Points gained by a player who commits to tournaments in the same week will be disconsidered. If the infraction is noticed before the tournaments start, only the first commitment is valid and no punishment is applied.
Can another player commit for you?

No (RULE CHANGE).

What happens if a player commits to two different tournaments in the same week?

If the player commited first in a tournament and then commited in another one, the first one prevails. The player must withdraw from the tournament they've previously entered before being accepted in the entry list of the other tournament (as a late entry). If the double commitment is not noticed by the managers, points gained by a player who commits to tournaments in the same week will be disconsidered. If the infraction is noticed before the tournaments start, only the first commitment is valid and no punishment is applied.

Is it enough if only a player commits a doubles team or both have to do it?

Yes, it's enough if only a player commits their doubles team.

Is a player in the Top 30 (singles entry ranking) allowed to play only doubles in a Challenger?

Yes.

Is a player in the Top 30 (doubles entry ranking) allowed to play doubles in a Challenger?

Yes.

Can an alternate player of a certain tournament who didn't make the draw play in another tournament in the same week that has spots available?

No, players are only allowed to play one tournament per week. If the player sent picks as an alternate, they aren't allowed to play anywhere else that week even if they didn't make it to the draw.

In which cases should a manager extend the deadline?

Managers can extend the deadline if there are still spots available in the Main Draw after the second deadline or if the tournament's qualifying matches start on Sunday.

* The first deadline is always Sunday 6 PM CET. The only exception are the Grand Slams, that need a suitable deadline for their different schedules.

Is a player allowed to play qualifying in one tournament and the main draw of another at the same time?

Yes, if the tournaments are played in different weeks. For example, if a player makes Houston's final (week of April 6) and didn't enter Monte Carlo (week of April 13) directly, he is allowed to play qualifying there.

Exception: Challengers during all four Grand Slams' first weeks. Players who lose in any Grand Slams' qualifying are allowed to play these challengers.

Players who commit after the final deadline and players who are only in the doubles list:

They can be alternates for the qualifying draw or MD if there was no qualifying. These players are placed at the bottom of the alternates list and are ordered by commitment time.

Can you delete a commitment on a thread?

No.

As you're a new player - you will find it easier to gain entry into a Challenger although of course the choice is yours, the Challengers threads are here :-

http://www.menstennisforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=811

Just pick the event you want to play in and say 'IN' in the thread, which is your committment to play. The front page of each event has the info of the deadline time, how to send picks, etc.

If you have any queries the Manager of the event will answer any queries you have - or any of the Board will happily answer any other queries you may have - any queries are generally asked in the 'Ask The Board' thread here:

Protected Ranking (PR)

- Players must inform the board about their absence for the protected ranking to start running*. A list of players with protected ranking will be kept in the managers thread. To get a PR, the players absence from TT must be continuos for atleast 3 months. If a player is inactive for 18 months or more, he/she is ineligibe for a protected ranking. The number of PR's will depend on the lenght of absence:

3 months out = 3 PR
4 months out = 4 PR
5 months out = 5 PR
6 or more months out = 6 PR

For the PR that a player is able to use for entries, we will use the average ranking of the first 6 weeks that the player was out. PR applies to both singles and doubles and we'll have a separate PR for both of them.

* Players are allowed to ask for a PR after they're back from their absence, but they must request it before they commit to any tournaments.

Special Exempts (SE)

-
We are going to use the same basic rules as the ATP. The manager will leave 1 or 2 SE spots (depending on the tournament) in the main draw, if they won't be needed, then the first player(s) on the qualifying entry list will be promoted from the qualifying draw to the main draw. More from the ATP Rulebook:

a) A Qualified Event for Special Exempt to an ATP Masters Series Tournament (1000) is the singles event of another ATP Masters Series
(1000) or International Series Gold Tournament (500).
b) A Qualified Event for Special Exempt to an ATP International Series Gold Tournament
(500) is the singles event of another International Series Gold (500) or ATP Masters Series Tournament (1000).
c) A Qualified Event for Special Exempt to an ATP International Series Tournament
(250) is the singles event of any International Series (500 or 250) or ATP Masters Series Tournament (1000).
d) A Qualified Event for Special Exempt to a Challenger Series Tournament is the singles event of any ATP or Challenger Series Tournament.

* Top 30 players aren't be eligible to get SE's into challengers.

Number of special exempts:

ATP Masters Series (1000) and International Series Gold (500) Tournaments shall have one (1) Special Exempt and International Series (250) and Challenger Series Tournaments shall have two (2).

Players may receive a Special Exempt into the main draw of the following week's tournament if they meet the criteria and apply for it before the final deadline. If the main draw is to be made before a potential Special Exempt player plays on Friday, then such place(s) shall be drawn in the same manner as qualifier, i.e., four qualifiers ("Q") and one or two "SE" depending on whether there are one or two possibilities. Each of the five or six slots are marked "Q/SE." As soon as the "SE" match results are known, either the "SE" or the next Direct Acceptance (if the SE lost) is randomly drawn and inserted into the draw.
Are Late Entries placed before or after the NR players?

Late Entries are placed after the NR players.

How does the LE order work? By commitment or by ranking?

Late Entries are ordered by ranking.

What should managers do if there are less players playing qualifying than the necessary qualifying spots?

The remaining players are sorted in a custom qualifying draw which gives less spots to the Main Draw. For example, if there are 34 players commited to a tournament which has a 32-player Main Draw: The first 30 players get in directly and the remaining 4 players play a 2-match qualifying tournament.

Which rankings should be used for the Entry List and seeded players?

Entries, seedings, special exempts, tie-breakers and placements of byes, alternates and lucky losers will be based on the rankings from two weeks before the start of the tournament.

What should the manager do if two doubles teams have the right same points in the Entry Ranking? How to decide which one comes first in the Entry List?

The manager should make a sum of the team's entry ranking points combined. Whoever has more points is listed first. If the sum is the same for both teams, the team that has the player with the best doubles ranking should be listed first.

What should the manager do if two players have the same position in the Singles Entry Ranking? How to decide which one comes first in the Entry List?

The first player to commit should come first in the entry list.

Could a Late Entry be a seeded player? What about a SE?

Yes to both questions.

* Top 30 singles players are not able to be seeded in the challengers they're allowed to play as late entries (qualifying or main draw).

Could a qualifier be a seeded player? What about a lucky loser?

Yes, if the Main Draw is released after qualifying is over. The manager doesn't need to wait until the qualifying is over to post the draws.

Is a LE eligible to receive a SE?

Yes.

Is a top 30 player eligible to receive a SE into a challenger?

No.

Can a player in the alternates list get a SE spot?

Yes.

When should a player use their PR or their normal ranking?

If a player entries as a direct acceptance with their current position in the entry ranking, the PR is not used.

How to procede during challengers on a Grand Slam's second week?

If the player reaches the GS R16, they are out of the challenger (qualifying & MD - Rule chkange). These tournaments usually have a Tuesday start, so it's possible to play two qualifying rounds on Sunday & Monday.

Do I have to withdraw from the GS week #1's challenger if I want to try a LL spot in that GS?

Yes.

How to apply for a SE?

The player must post in the tournament thread before the final deadline, even if he/she is in the qualifying/alternates list. Players can apply for a SE spot before their friday matches are defined (most tournaments have the final deadline before the end of the day's matches).

What happens to the SE if Friday’s play is postponed?

The players who are still in the tournament are eligible to SE spots (entry list rankings).

Current ranking or PR, which one comes first?

Current ranking.
Important: PR cannot be used for seedings, only for entry lists.

What happens if there are more players than available SE spots? How are players chosen?

In this case, they are chosen by ranking.

Are Grand Slam finalists eligible to receive a SE into a ATP 250/International Series tournament?

Yes.

TT will follow the ATP here, with the exception of getting rid of the bye in all of the tournaments. This will mean that there will only be 3 kinds of singles draws next year (for 32, 64 and 128 players). Qualifying draws are normally for 16 players, but for the weeks like Sydney & Auckland (when there's no challengers) the quallies will be extended to 32 players.

Min. number of commitments for a tournament to be run

A TT tournament must have at least 16 players committed for it to be run. If this number isn't reached before 2nd the deadline, the players signed-up can move to the other tournaments held the same week without being marked as late entries. Doubles tournament needs to have atleast 8 teams committed to be run.

Lucky Loser System

LL's just like in the ATP, except the order of lucky losers will be determined with the 'old' system (Final round most correct picks, # of correct SR's, SR shootout, PTS, previous round most correct picks, # of correct SR's, SR shootout, PTS, ...)

Round 1 lucky losers (Main draw and qualifying)

When both players/teams in a match fail to send picks AND there are no alternates or lucky losers to replace them, the loser with best score in this round will take their spot in the following round as a lucky loser. This rule is valid only in first rounds (main draw or qualifying).

* When the first and the second round (qualifying or main draw) are played on the same day, the loser with the best score in the first round will take the spot of a player/team which receives a bye to the second round but fails to send picks.
How many seeded players should a draw have? How should they be placed?

How to place Alternates and Lucky Losers in case players forget to send picks in?

They should be placed randomly.
If there are more spots than alternates/Lucky Losers:
  1. Check if there are matches where both players didn't send picks. If so, the manager should place a LL there, so there is no win by Ranking.
  2. After that, place all Lucky Losers in a way that the best ranked players (entry list rankings) go through to the next round, getting a W/O.
  3. After that, if there are any alternates or lucky losers placed against a player/team who didn't send picks, the draw should be adjusted in order to give the byes to the best ranked players who enter the draw directly. The alternates and lucky losers should play their first round matches against the opponents of the players who were given the byes. Example:
1st round
Player A (ranked #1) vs Player B (ranked #8)
Player C (ranked #2) vs Player D (ranked #5)
Player E (ranked #3) vs Player F (ranked #7)
Player G (ranked #4) vs Player H (ranked #6)
Player I (ranked #5) vs Player J (ranked #10)

Alternates:

#1 Player K (ranked #11)
#2 Player L (ranked #12)

Problem: Players C, D, E and F didn't send picks.

After steps #1 & #2, the draw changes to:

Player A (1) vs Player B (8)
Player C (2) vs Player L (ALT)
Player E (3)
vs Player K (ALT)
Player G (4) vs Player H (6)
Player I (5) vs Player J (10)

Players A, B, G, H, I & J, who already were in the draw, would have to play a valid match while Players K & L would advance directly to the 2nd round.

Step #3: the two best ranked players who didn't receive byes and already were in the draw (Players A & G) are given the byes. Their opponents are placed against the two alternates:

Player A (1)
vs bye
Player H (8) vs Player L (ALT)
Player B (6) vs Player K (ALT)

Player G (4)
vs bye
Player I (5) vs Player J (10)

How to place byes in a TT draw?

The byes are always given to the best ranked players
(entry list rankings). After the manager places the seeded players and their byes, if there is still need for more byes, they should be given to the highest-ranked players that aren't seeded.

What is needed for an alternate or Lucky Loser doubles team to replace another doubles team in a qualifying/main draw?

If one player of a team doesn't send in picks, it is enough to replace them for an alternate/LL.
Note
: both players must have sent picks to be able to get in the draw as alternates/LLs.

Is it possible to change tournaments after the second deadline?

Yes if the qualifying draws have not been posted yet*.

*No changes (withdrawals) allowed after the draws are made. Alternates can still be added to the bottom of alt list, ordered by commitment time.

How are LLs chosen?

1) Losers of qualifying final round (Final round most correct picks, # of correct SR's, SR shootout, PTS, previous round most correct picks, # of correct SR's, SR shootout, PTS...)
2) Losers of the previous round (
Previous round most correct picks, # of correct SR's, SR shootout, PTS, ...)

After making the qualifying draw, a vacancy occurs in the main draw. How is the vacancy filled?

If the qualifying competition has begun, the vacancy is filled by the eligible lucky loser. If the qualifying competition has not begun, the vacancy is filled by the next player on the alternate list.

The deadline will be taken from the official order of play and set at a time when the first match begins where possible. However, managers may occasionally set an earlier deadline at which no more picks will be allowed if their personal circumstances dictate this and plenty of warning is given, attempting to give a window of at least 12 hours for the players to send picks.
- No late picks allowed, even if there are no LLs available. Other player will be given a w/o. If both players don't send, then the match is decided by CB. If it's a first round (main draw or qualifying), their spot in the second round is given to the loser with the best score in the first round. Also 0 points > no picks. In a 2-day round, sending on one day is enough to avoid a walkover.

Sending picks incorrectly

a) If someone sends before OOP is posted then no punishment.
b) First time = a warning (manager should PM the player back)
c) Second time = a point penalty
d) Disqualification

Tournament threads must have instructions on how to send picks correctly. It's up to the manager whether they wish to impose these penalties. It's just an option which might hopefully make players realise it's annoying when they send ridiculous PM's.

Partner sending both players doubles tips

Will not be accepted anymore, the picks must come from two different players.

The same picks for singles and doubles

Only one set of picks will be accepted, the same picks will be used for both singles and doubles.

Sending picks to the wrong person

Picks will not be accepted. They must be sent to the correct manager.

When can late picks be sent?

No late picks allowed anymore, even if there are no LLs available. Managers will set a deadline at which no more picks will be allowed, even if a point hasn't been played.

Is a player allowed to send a particular pick that they forgot after play starts?

No.

Are players allowed to change their picks?

Players are allowed to change their picks as long as the deadline has not passed yet.

What happens when there's no live scores or if it's raining and a player sends late picks? What should a manager do to count them?

Late picks are not accepted anymore.

Should the Monday qualifying matches count for doubles?

The manager should let players know whether they want to count the qualifying matches for doubles or not. If it's not specified, the matches will be counted.

Must the final's SR1 PTS be the tournament's final match?

Yes.

What happens if play was suspended due to rain or not enough light?

The postponed matches still count for the previous day's round, and the new matches are used for the day's Order of Play.

How should picks be sent?

Managers must give instructions on how to send picks correctly. The desired format usually is:

- The winner's last name only. Managers don't need to know the player's nationality, if he's a seeded player, their first name or if he's a qualifier/WC/LL.
- If it's a SR/PTS match: add the SR/PTS you chose for the match after the player's last name.

What happens if the real tournament starts on Sunday?

The TT tournament still starts on Monday. Sunday's MD matches are used for the qualifying. Exceptions: Roland Garros and Winston-Salem.

What happens if a player of a team doesn't send picks?

The missing player gets 0 points. There's no W/O win for the opposing team.

What happens when both players forget to send picks?

CB decides. If it's a first round (main draw or qualifying), the spot reserved for the winner of this match is given to the loser with the best score in the round (lucky loser).

WWhat happens when a player sends picks to the wrong person?

Picks must be sent to the tournament manager. If the player sends picks to the wrong person (even if the picks are sent to the person who posted the OOP), they won't be valid.

Does a player with a bye in the first round have to send in picks?

Players with a bye should send picks for CB purposes.

TB System will have to be used in the event of both players/teams tipping the same amount of winners in a round.

For each round the matches should be numbered SR1 > SR?? with SR1 also being a PTS (predict-the-score) match. This should be done for every round. These selected matches should be considered to be the most difficult to predict in the schedule. However selection of the matches chosen is always at the manager's discretion. For every 1st round of every draw (singles & doubles, main draw & qualifying) players should send PTS scores for all the matches. This is done to avoid any match being decided by ranking.

* All matches must be SRs.

* Monday’s SRs for doubles (two-day round) – when the manager doesn’t say anything about them, they should go to the bottom of the SR order (for shootout purposes).

The TT TB System:

Quote:
1.Total # of Set Ratios correct > if same then

Note: The SR (2-0/2-1) is not counted when there's a retirement.

2. Set Ratio shoot-out: 1-?? (compare SR1, SR2, SR3, etc.) > if same then

Note: Retirements count for the SR shootout (only correct winners, not the SR).

Note #2: When both players pick the loser, the shoot-out win goes to the one who gave more sets to the winner. This rule is not used when there's a retirement.

3. PTS 1 (1-?? in all first round matches)

Both players have incorrect winner in the PTS match: +2 points for every set predicted for the winner

Correct order of sets for:

1 set – 1 point
2 sets – 4 points
3 sets – 7 points
4 sets – 10 points
5 sets – 13 points

Correct scoreline for:

1 set – 3 points
2 sets – 6 points
3 sets – 9 points
4 sets – 12 points
5 sets – 15 points

Note: The PTS is not counted when there's a retirement.

4. Tournament Countback (CB) - # of correct picks from all the previous rounds (qualifying not counted)

5. CB1 (countback from previous round), CB2 (countback from two rounds back), CB3, etc. (qualifying not counted)

6.
Steps 1-3 from the previous round(s) (qualifying not counted)

7.
Game Difference and Number of Games System (taken from the PTS scores) (If the picked player of either TT-player loses or if there's a retirement, the PTS doesn't count for GD purposes; all matches are GD matches in the first rounds)

The game difference and the number of games played is used.

example 1
player A - Federer 6-4 6-3 = +5 game difference and 19 games played
player B - Federer 6-4 7-5 = +4 game difference and 22 games played

result - Federer 6-4 7-6 = +3 game difference and 23 games played.

player A -> 2 game difference + 4 games played = 6
player B -> 1 game difference + 1 games played = 2

-> player B def player A

example 2
player A - Federer 6-1 1-6 7-6 = +1 game difference and 27 games played
player B - Federer 7-5 6-7 7-6 = +2 game difference and 38 games played

result - Federer 7-6 6-7 7-6 = +1 game difference and 39 games played.

player A -> 0 game difference + 12 games played = 12
player B -> 1 game difference + 1 games played = 2

-> player B def player A

If there's a tie, the player with the closer game difference will advance. If both players have the same game difference and the same number of games played, then

8. Ranking (the higher ranked player/team wins - entry list rankings)

SRs:

Don't forget to count day one's SRs if the round is decided in two days.

Total # of correct Set Ratios:

The player who has more correct SRs advances.

Example:

SR1 -
Team A/C wins. C & D picked the correct winner but a wrong SR. A & B picked the loser, but A gave more sets to the winner (one set to Ljubicic)

Predict-the-Score (PTS):

If the SR shoot-out doesn't decide, it goes to PTS.

PLEASE NOTE: In the first round, all matches should also be PTS. In all the other rounds, just the SR1 is a PTS match.

PTS gives points based in:

1) Correct scoreline: when you give the exact right score for a/the player/players in a match;
2) Correct order of sets: when you pick the correct winner of one or more sets;
3) Both players picked wrong winner: the player gets 2 points for each set they give to the correct winner.

- Example 1 (correct order of sets):

Blake def Ljubicic 63 36 63
Blake won sets 1 and 3.
Ljubicic won set 2.

#1: Blake 61 46 62 - Correct order of sets: Blake to win the 1st set + Ljubicic to win the 2nd set + Blake to win the 3rd set = correct order of 3 sets = 7 points
#2: Blake 46 64 64 - Correct order of sets: Blake to win the third set = correct order of 1 set = 1 point

- Example 2:

Blake vs Ljubicic

Result: Blake 62 63 (1st and 2nd sets won by Blake)

Player A: Blake 63 62 - Correct order of two sets (picked Blake to win both sets) + Two correct scorelines (Blake 63 & Blake 62) = 4+6 = 10
Player B: Blake 75 63 - Correct order of two sets (picked Blake to win both sets) + One correct scoreline (Blake 63) = 4+3 = 7

Player A wins (PTS 10:7)

- Example 3:

Blake vs Ljubicic

Result: Blake 62 63 (1st and 2nd sets won by Blake)

Player A: Blake 62 64 - Correct order of two sets (picked Blake to win both sets) + One correct scoreline (Blake 62) = 4+3 = 7
Player B: Blake 75 63 - Correct order of two sets (picked Blake to win both sets) + One correct scoreline (Blake 63) = 4+3 = 7

No decision.

- Example 4:

Blake vs Ljubicic

Result: Blake 62 63 (1st and 2nd sets won by Blake)

Player A: Blake 63 36 64 - Correct order of one set (picked Blake to win the 1st set) + One correct scoreline (Blake 63) = 1+3 = 4
Player B: Blake 46 62 64 - Correct order of one set (picked Blake to win the 2nd set) + One correct scoreline (Blake 62) = 1+3 = 4

No decision.

- Example 5:

Blake vs Ljubicic

Result: Ljubicic 62 63 (1st and 2nd sets won by Ljubicic)

Player A: Blake 63 36 64 - Correct order of one set (picked Ljubicic to win the 2nd set) + One correct scoreline (Ljubicic 63) + one set given to the correct winner = 1+3+2 = 6
Player B: Blake 46 62 64 - Correct order of one set (picked Ljubicic to win the 1st set) + one set given to the correct winner = 1+2 = 3

Player A wins (PTS 6:3).

Blake 63 36 64 - Two correct scorelines (Ljubicic 63 & Blake 64) + one set given to the correct winner = 6+2 = 8
Player B: Blake 46 62 64 - Correct order of two sets (picked Ljubicic to win the 1st set & Blake to win the 2nd set) + One correct scoreline (Blake 64) + one set given to the correct winner = 4+3+2 = 9

Player B wins (PTS 9:8).

- Example 7:

Blake vs Ljubicic

Result: Blake 62 63 (1st and 2nd sets won by Blake)

Player A: Blake 63 62 - Correct order of two sets (picked Blake to win both sets) + Two correct scorelines (Blake 63 & Blake 62) = 4+6 = 10
Player B: Blake 62 63 - Correct order of two sets (picked Blake to win both sets) + Two correct scoreline (
Blake 62 & Blake 63) = 4+6 = 10
No decision.

Count-Back (CB):

If PTS doesn't decide, the match goes to CB.

Step#1 - Tournament CB = # of correct picks from all the previous rounds (qualifying not counted).
Step#2 - If it's still tied: CB1 (countback from previous round), CB2 (countback from two rounds back), CB3, etc.
Step#3 - If it's still tied: steps 1-3 from the previous round(s) (if the previous round doesn't break the tie, then go two rounds back, etc.). That means: previous round's TB (# correct SRs previous round -> SR shoot-out previous round -> PTS previous round); if no decision, TB from two rounds back
(# correct SRs two rounds back -> SR shoot-out two rounds back -> PTS two rounds back), etc.

Games Difference (GD):

If the steps above don't decide the match, it goes to GD, last way to decide a match before ranking.

- The round's PTS is used. If it doesn't decide the match, all the other round's PTSs are used until there is no choice other than decide the match by ranking.
- If the picked player of either TT-player loses, the match won't count for GD purposes.
- GD is basically the picked player's amount of games - the other (not picked) player's amount of games.

Example (GD):

Match: Blake vs Ljubicic
Pick: Ljubicic 63 64 -> 12 games Ljubicic - 7 games Blake = 5
Pick: Ljubicic 16 76 76 -> 15 games Ljubicic - 18 games Blake = -3
Pick: Ljubicic 61 67 60 -> 18 games Ljubicic - 8 games blake = +10

- # of games played = the picked player's amount of games + the other (not picked) player's amount of games;

Example (# of games played):

Match: Blake vs Ljubicic
Pick: Ljubicic 63 64 -> 6+3+6+4 = 19
Pick: Ljubicic 16 76 76 -> 1+6+7+6+7+6 = 33
Pick:
Ljubicic 61 67 60 -> 6+1+6+7+6+0 = 26

Step 1: Figure out the player and real match's games difference + # of games played;
Step 2: The goal here is to get as close as possible to the real score of the match, so the manager needs to calculate the difference between the player's pick GD and the real result's GD, same thing for the # of games played;
Step 3: Sum the differences you calculated, whoever got the smallest sum wins.

Example:

Result: Ljubicic 63 64
Player A: Ljubicic 16 76 76
Player B: Ljubicic 61 67 60
Player A: |5-(-3)|+|19-33| = 8+14 = 22
Player B: |5-10|+|19-26| = 5+7 = 12
Player B wins

Example 2:

Result: Ljubicic 64 62
Player A: Ljubicic 64 46 63
Player B: Ljubicic 64 36 63
Player A:
|6-3|+|18-29| = 3+11 = 14
Player B: |6-2|+|18-28| = 4+10 = 14
Player A wins (GD + #games played tied; Player A with closer GD)

Top 16 players in the doubles race rankings will qualify for the WTF. Top 8 players in the singles race rankings will qualify for the WTF. Ties will be broken by total points gathered in the Grand Slams that year.

Challengers & the WTF race

Challengers count for the WTF race.

Counting the retired matches?

The match will be counted if one point is played.

Saving the daily schedule

When running a tournament, the manager should keep the old schedule (OOP + TB's) visible and not just edit the post with the next one. This is recommended in case there's a mistake or if somebody would like check for example what the order of TB matches were.

Is a Grand Slam winner automatically qualified for the year-end Tennis Masters Cup?

No.

Are banned players allowed to play Tennis Tipping?

No.

How do Davis Cup and WTC work? When can you change nationality? How are captains chosen?

Nationality changes can only be done during the off-season (until the first tournament of the year is played). Captains are chosen based on the previous year's ranking (best ranked players from each country). Important: WTC/DC players aren't allowed to play challengers during these events.

How do TT Entry Rankings work?

The TT Rankings (singles and doubles) period is the immediate past 52 weeks, except for the WTF, singles and doubles (formerly the Tennis Masters Cup), which is dropped on the Monday following the last ATP World Tour event of the following year. Once entered, all tournaments, except for WTF, remain in the system for 52 consecutive weeks.

When two or more players have the same total number of points, ties shall be broken as follows:
a) the most total points from the Grand Slams, ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournaments and World Tour Finals main draws, and if still tied, then,
b) the fewest events played, counting all missed Grand Slams they could have played, and if still tied, then,
c) the highest number of points from one single tournament, then, if needed, the second highest, and so on.

When a player has a bye in the first round and loses in the second round, they receive zero points.

WTC entries:

The first eight (8) team entrants shall be based on the lowest total of the positions of the two (2) highest positioned players from the same country as of the year-end Singles Ranking. In the case where two (2) teams have the same total, and then the team with the highest positioned singles player shall be selected first.

Notes:

  • Tournament managers should NOT pair up random players to make more doubles teams when the deadline is closing. Though, managers should encourage players to play doubles and help them find partners.
  • If a manager wants to use a different schedule from the standard one, he/she must ask permission from the board first. It's not like managers can change the schedule anytime they want.

4) Davis Cup Rankings

Quote:
Tennis Tipping Davis Cup Nations Ranking

The TT Davis Cup Nations Ranking is used as the sole criteria for seeding at all levels of the Davis Cup competition. However seeds one and two in the World Group shall be the Finalists of the year immediately prior to the year for which the seeds are being selected, and seeds 3-8 shall be in accordance with the latest Ranking. The ITF Davis Cup Nations Ranking is published following every World Group round. All nations are ranked.

The ITF Davis Cup Nations Ranking measures the success of all Nations participating in the Competition over a 'rolling' four year period with recent performance weighted more heavily.

After each round the ranking period adjusts and any results outside the adjusted four year period drop off. At the same time points from the same round for the three previous years are reduced as per the points table below. Therefore, 100 points would become 75, then 50, then 25 over the four years.

The points stated are awarded to the winning team in that round. (A nation losing in the World Group first round, for example, earns 0 points for that tie.) In addition, any Nation that defeats a higher-ranked Nation receives bonus points according to its opponent's ranking as detailed in the table below.

Just to let y'all know

the accepted abbreviation for this piece of work is now MRH

that is = Murilo and Re's Handbook

I know its not a book, but it is awesome and deserves the status of a law textbook in my eyes.
