He sure can play tennis but can he act? It has been reported that Spanish tennis superstar Rafael Nadal is set to play a small role in the upcoming Steven Spielberg produced movie, The Trial of the Chicago 7.
The movie is based on the trials of the protesters at the 1968 Democratic convention, it is reported shooting is to begin in January 2009 and Paul Greengrass (The Bourne Ultimatum and The Bourne Supremacy) will take on directing duties.
Will Smith, Kevin Space, Taye Diggs and Tiffany Pollard (yes reality queen also known as New York) have been rumored to star in the movie, due out December 2009.
Meanwhile if you can’t wait to see Nadal on the big screen, check out the star in all his glory while vacationing on his private yacht.

Wha...?
I call bullshit, but posting this anyway. Just bc.
Tennis world number one Rafael Nadal has signed a deal with Inter Parfums to be global ambassador for its Lanvin line of fragrances. The star will help develop a new Lanvin fragrance which is set for a summer 2009 launch.
The positioning of the new fragrance line, which is to be called Lanvin L'Homme Sport, will be built around Nadal's image. A range of products will be aimed at a younger market than is usual for the Lanvin brand. Inter Parfums is planning to launch the brand throughout Europe and the US.
Nadal, a Wimbledon champion and Olympic gold medallist, will be at the centre of a major marketing push for the launch. The Spaniard joins a number of other tennis stars, including Andre Agassi, Venus and Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova, as a fragrance spokesperson.
Paris-based Inter Parfums creates and manufactures several brands of fragrances and cosmetics under license, including Burberry, Paul Smith, Christian Lacroix and Van Cleef & Arpels.
Next thing you know he'll move out of his parents' house.
He is just full of surprises isn't he? In one of his blogs he mentioned he was wearing Lanvin and even then I thought, "what...?", it does not exactly go with his other sponsorships but since they will create a new scent around him, why not, no? Can't wait to smell him

Nadal Signs Cologne Deal
Barcelona company Antonio Puig has signed a deal with Rafael Nadal to create a new cologne with him which is expected to go on sale at the beginning of 2006
From what I recall it was only available in Europe. I remember there was video about the making of the commercial. With the exception of Rafa mentioning it in a Q&A there never seem to be much if any advertising. I think it was called Sportsman Pro and Rafa was to promote it versus it being his signature product.
