Now, Marek Semjan defeated him, he just seems to be going backwards

I agree. I had high hopes for him this year and wonder what has happened.
It is a shame he is not doing better.

Re: Andreas Haider-Maurer Cheering Thread
He is having a tough year. Martin Fischer was chosen for the Davis Cup. I wonder what is wrong or injured for Andy that he retires from matches so often. Do you know why he has to retire?

Great for Martin
No, I don't know what it is that makes him retire, if he comes back to Scotland this year I might ask him... or not.

Re: Andreas Haider-Maurer Cheering Thread
I remember when Oliver Marach had a lot of injury problems and his ranking is way down now. I hope you are able to find out what Andy's problem is. He has so much potential and these injuries are just ruining everything for him.

Re: Andreas Haider-Maurer Cheering Thread
Andy's got to back to back semis of future events in Nigeria. TBH, he should be winning them . Still, some wins under his belt going into next season is good

Re: Andreas Haider-Maurer Cheering Thread
I had picked Andy in a contest that is on Tennisweek.com to be the most improved player ranked between 100 and 300. To think he dropped down so far is sad. I can not even pick him this year because his ranking has gone down to much.
Why don't you go to Tennisweek.com and enter. It is a fun contest and not hard.

Re: Andreas Haider-Maurer Cheering Thread
Some good news about Andy. He just won a futures.
I had hope the article would print translated, but you can get the drift of it.
Last week celebrated Andreas Haider-Maurer in Tel Aviv in his first tournament victory this year.
In Ramat Hascharon hat der 21-jährige Niederösterreicher nun diesen Triumph wiederholt und seinen zweiten Future-Titel in diesem Jahr geholt. In Ramat HaSharon, the 21-year low Austrians now repeated this triumph and his second Futures title this year fetched.
Haider-Maurer setzt sich im Endspiel des 15.000-Dollar-Events gegen den Deutschen Sebastian Rieschick 7:6(4), 6:4 durch. Haider-Maurer continued in the finals of the 15,000-dollar event against the Germans Sebastian Rieschick 7:6 (4), by 6:4.

Re: Andreas Haider-Maurer Cheering Thread
I have never seen Andy play and had no idea he had that type of temperment.
