Re: #1!
Thank you so much for this! Also it's super amazing and just tells us how great Federer is to be at no.3 spot and all of it is a cumulative 210 weeks. Just purely amazing.

Re: #1!
Federers reign as world #1 is all but over.
Still 235 consecutive weeks, I've got a feeling this record will last at least 4 years, 6 months and 1 week.

Re: #1!
After more than four and a half years, Federers reign as world numer one is over.
Congratulations to Nadal for achieving the #1 rank!
Let's see how long Rafa will last at the top spot!

Re: #1!
I reckon Nadal can stay there for a while.
Unless Federer finds his old game again.

Re: #1!
He also falls just short of Connor's record of 240/241 weeks at number one, which is a real shame. I was hoping he'd hang on and smash that record too.

Connors had a total of 268 weeks as no. 1, so not that close really.

ROGER FEDERER: Yeah, I remember this one time when I went on a vacation on the Maldives. That was in the year 2001, I think. I went to this spa. I went to walk around with my girlfriend. I walk in, and we want to book a spa. This guy goes, "AHH, I remember you. You beat Sampras. I saw you on TV." That was like, really, how can you remember me? This guy has probably never been off his island and still knows me. I was a little bit shocked. Then I went to play tennis with him because he was actually the tennis teacher. It was nice.
Q. Were you naked at the time in the spa?
ROGER FEDERER: No. It was at the front desk. I didn't walk in naked.

Actually, it's 244/245 weeks. The record, though impressive, comes with an asterisk. Connors won only 3 slams during that stretch of nearly 5 years. Federer won 11 slams as world number 1.

Re: #1!
Rafael Nadal clinched the year end #1 this week.
He becomes the 15th player in the Open Era to finish the season as #1.
