German TV doesn't show Masters Series, as usual I watched on a stream, but I couldn't offer you any recording because I don't know how it works and because the quality isn't exactly good that it would be so worthy recording it.

Thanks to this Masters fianl, Kiwi jumped into the TOP 20 again, he's currently #19! Quite a good story how he makes it up there again and again

Let's hope he stays there a bit longer this time around.

Well, I didn't have any real hope, but was still frustrated that Nadal killed off all of Kiefer's break chances. I was doing some other things while following the match, but in said game, every time that I looked at the stream, Kiwi had bp and couldn't convert. I missed how he actually made the points to get another bp or how he made it back from Adv Nadal to Deuce. That whole game was a terrible experience.

If I had a good tool to cut asf files, then I could upload it. I'll see if I can find anything.
I still have to watch the ceremony. I didn't watch the Wimbledon one either.

So true! The entire match I kept saying that I just wanted Kiwi to break him once, and he had so many chances in that game. Rafa is just too good. Can't even let our Kiwi get one little break.

Kinda expected withdrawal from him. I guess he couldn't care less about Cincinnati now with Beijing coming up.

Yeah, you're probably right. No need to take any unnecessary risks, now that he had such a fantastic week in Toronto.
Beijing is just too important for him.

Re: Kiwi's summer hardcourt season 2008 (soon playing: US Open)
His quarter:
(8) Andy Roddick (USA) vs Fabrice Santoro (FRA)
Ernests Gulbis (LAT) vs Thomas Johansson (SWE)
Guillermo Garcia-Lopez (ESP) vs Dominik Hrbaty (SVK)
Hyung-Taik Lee (KOR) vs (31) Andreas Seppi (ITA)
(20) Nicolas Kiefer (GER) vs Ivo Minar (CZE)
(WC) Scoville Jenkins (USA) vs Jarkko Nieminen (FIN)
Bobby Reynolds (USA) vs QUALIFIER
Ivan Navarro (ESP) vs (11) Fernando Gonzalez (CHI)
(15) Tommy Robredo (ESP) vs Mischa Zverev (GER)
Vincent Spadea (USA) vs Marat Safin (RUS)
QUALIFIER vs Carlos Moya (ESP)
Santiago Ventura (ESP) vs (19) Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (FRA)
(30) Marin Cilic (CRO) vs Julien Benneteau (FRA)
Robby Ginepri (USA) vs (WC) Amer Delic (USA)
QUALIFIER vs Nicolas Mahut (FRA)
Arnaud Clement vs (3) Novak Djokovic (SRB)
The first match is a no brainer. I just hope that it won't take longer than necessary.
As for Nieminen, I can easily see a tough 4 or 5 setter. Normally, he should defeat him, though.
Gonzalez is possible, too. As usual, we'll have to hope for a bad Gonzo forehand day.

Ooh I could have a Kiwi / Roddick match. Hopefully he'll make it that far (and Andy of course) cuz I'd love to go to that one!

Re: Kiwi's summer hardcourt season 2008 (soon playing: US Open)
He retired after 6-4 1-6 4-6 1-4 against Minar
They said it was a shoulder problem
My hope is that it isn't so bad, and that he is soon back in action!
Sorry Mary you didn't have better luck with his match and had to witness these unfortunate circumstances and Kiwi not playing well today!

Re: Kiwi's summer hardcourt season 2008 (soon playing: US Open)
In the first few games he looked really good from the baseline. I was expecting an easy win then. His baseline game just got worse and worse, the game at 4-4 in the third was an absolute shocker. From 40-0 he gifted point after point, it almost looked like a tank.
