Let's hear it for Luka--he won his first pro tournament this week ($10K in BiH)!

According to the ITF website, Luka was born in Umag, resides in Kopar and is just 19 years old (born in October 1988). He had some success as a junior, reaching the Wimbledon QF and US Open SF in 2006, then turned pro in 2007. Here are his year-end pro rankings:
End of 2005: 1497
End of 2006: 1036
End of 2007: 763
In 2008, he had been moving sideways in the rankings until this week. This win, though, will give him a new career-high ranking of around 680--and hopefully lots of confidence.
