Re: JayJay's Football Factory 2007/2008
France with injury problems would worry me,ribery is one for starters... but France need to start of well they dont want to go into the game with Italy needing 3 points

Loss.
Pedestrian is probably the best description for France's performance.
CR: 84-99 (-£10,072.77)
I promised myself at the start that 10k would be my limit, as I promised myself that 1k would be my max plays limit. I've got some good and bad news. The good news is that because of some other stuff I've got a few more k to play with (7.5k to be exact). The bad news is I'm going to play with some of it as I was really looking forward to this month of action and don't want to just sit by and watch it pass (even though it would probably save me money at this point ).
I'm going to extend my limit to 15k, I hope I don't need to go that far, after all, there are only a few weeks left of this thread. Today's results were very bad for me. My ORs on France and Italy have taken a knock. My acc including Italy to qualify is now in serious danger. And 3 of my 4 top scorer picks are in danger of going home early. And I still have to digest the fact that Argentina couldn't beat Team Fulham.
I'm going to make a couple of plays for tuesday and call me crazy but I'm already looking ahead to backing France and Italy against Holland and Romania, I'll try to explain why nearer the time.

They have won 15 out of these 22 and have beaten the likes of Turkey, Russia, Spain and Holland. Romania also won their qualifying group, picking up 29 points out of 36 and in 12 games only conceded 7 goals.
Will be a tight game but who knows, could really go either way even a delightful draw.

Spot on analysis, Jig. Romania were never in trouble.

Here are tuesday's losing picks.
L10 (£1000) Spain beat Russia @ 8/11
PP (SI) - £1727.27
No Arshavin. No Pogrebnyak. If Spain can't get off on the right foot, then
L10 (£1000) Double Chance - Sweden draw or beat Greece @ 2/5
PP (SI) - £1400
The price is shorter than I'd like. But I really don't rate Greece at all and the last time people didn't rate Greece they went and became European Champions. So a 5-0 Greece win is not out of the question.

Yep thats right m8 i posted that before ItalyFrance lost knowing the Italy game was last game of group so the last game could prob go down to whoever wins goes through between France/Italy because Holland will beat Romania and 6 points will top them the group plus goal diff if france/italy get to 6points- the way France played Holland will beat them, it was truly shocking and by far the worst game so far the France/Romania game, also Romania didnt even go for it were happy with the draw. Even the Italians looked better going forward than France

Bank and bank.
Yesterday was a decent day for me with the hatrick from Villa meaning I'll at least have a contender for the top scorer spot.
CR: 86-99 (-£8945.50)
Portugal and Switzerland wins would be nice tonight.

No Arshavin till the final game and no Pogrebnyak for the whole tournament makes it a pretty big ask for Russia. Had they both been available they might have got something off Spain.
Greece are pathetic, Europe should be ashamed that they are their champions. They are taking anti-football to new levels.

Loss & loss.
LOL. Turns out to be a great loss. Turkey winning means that's £200 gone with these Swiss bets, but it has put my £500 on the Czechs to go home early right back on track. If Turkey avoid defeat against the Czechs, that's exactly what will happen. Feel a bit sorry for the Swiss, they will probably end the tournament with no points now, and I don't think they deserve that.
The result also means Portugal win the group which is one leg of my group win treble in. Spain have started well, but let's face it, Italy will need everything to go their way to win the group, and it's unlikely.
What I really need is for Italy to qualify to complete the qualification acc with Portugal, Germany and Spain. I still think they can do that, and will be looking for a max play on them against Romania on friday.

Re: JayJay's Football Factory 2007/2008
The 17/1 on Villa looks huge now great pick that one m8, i thought the switz were unlucky to concede such a late goal but ive seen better defending from Stafford rangers!
They gave everything but lacked quality,

Re: JayJay's Football Factory 2007/2008
Looks like I got it wrong about Turkey, a draw will not do them. If it's a draw, the rule book says penalties will determine the winner if two sides have the same points, followed by equal head to head and same goals scored/conceaded.
Doubt that has ever happened before.
I think Turkey should be allowed to go through in that case since the Czech goal against the Swiss came off the guys fucking shin and he didn't have a clue where it was going.

Fuck my luck. What a miserable day for me. Perfectly good Toni goal disallowed. Blatant penalty not given for France at 1-0 down. I'm scared to make a pick now, can't get anything right.
At least one of my OR picks are going home, and maybe both of them. What a complete disaster this group has been for me. I didn't think Holland were all that, but they have really shown me up and hit me hard in the pocket. Romania have cost me 2k too.
CR: 86-104 (-£10,445.50)
I'll be happy if I end the season 5k down (all my Giants money!), but even that looks like a dream now.
