He got a wild card for the Indian Wells qualifying. He's already down in Palm Springs practicing.

@HolterMedia - Nice to see that a three-day test has come to tennis here @wimbledon.

He was named as a practice partner for the upcoming DC Tie... should be a good experience for him

McClune lost to Michael Yani 7-6, 6-0 in the second round of qualifying in the Baton Rouge Challenger. A pretty disappointing loss. I'm surprised by how poor his results have been this year.

Seems his trip to Dubai with Federer hasn't turned into the results they might've hoped for. He's just gotta stick with it though

I love a good service motion. Thank goodness for YouTube, somebody uploaded some videos of Michael at USO last year and I really like what I see. I hope I'll get to see some more of him soon.

I saw McClune play at teh Carson challenger...and was very impressed. I like his movement...he's quick. And a good fh, but he has to develop a couple weapons to hurt his opponents a bit more.

He's just got to keep on working, because he seems to have what it takes to move up. Whether he's a top 50 player remains to be seen, but I think he can be much higher than he is now.

And he seems like a good kid...

I was there on Wednesday, and because of change of plans, for about 3 hours on Thursday.

I thought of you when I looked into going, but my niece doesn't have internet access so there was no way to pm you to see if you were going. I had to call my brother and have him look up the directions for me.

I need to buy a phone that has the internet. It was so frustrating not having the internet for days.

Nice little tournament. And love the grounds at the Home Depot Center.

Yup, I live in Connecticut. I visted my nephew in SF for a couple of days and then my niece in the LA area. But I was also checking it out because there is a possibility of moving there in a couple of years. I've been to LA a number of times and always liked it, but wanted to doublecheck. The only problem is that I don't know if I can afford to live there. Everything is so expensive.

McClune is up to #326 in the rankings this week. He's starting to win consistently at the Futures level. Hopefully, he can get into a few Challengers before the year is out.
