I don't think Rafa will lose early in Rome but I'm pretty convinced he'll play in Hamburg no matter what. He has a lot of points to defend and he has never won the tournament so far - something he'd love to achieve. He might complain about the tight schedule, but that doesn't mean he'll skip a major event.
WC for Gremlmeyer looks like a pretty sure deal now.

even during the 2nd of these 4 consecutive weeks he has problems with his shoulder. so yeah, i'm pretty sure he will lose early in Rome or Hamburg.

Hopefully Petzschner, he's one of the better options. As I said, I don't think Gremelmayr can get a WC, because he committed to Zagreb. Or am I wrong?

Okay, no WC for Gremelmayr. (really stupid to commit to Zagreb. But probably not even Denis himself expected he would play that well and become a hot candidate for a WC in Hamburg)

Even dumber decision from Mayer to play Zagreb imo. What a loser.

Re: Hamburg Entry List/Fact Sheet (updated April 30, 2008)
Any news on whether Nadal will be playing, I saw mention somewhere, I think it was either Dutch or Belgian tv a couple of days ago that he had withdrawn from Hamburg or had stated he wasn't going to play

Re: Hamburg Entry List/Fact Sheet (updated April 30, 2008)
I haven't heard anything like that. All he said is that he finds it very hard to play Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Rome, and Hamburg in four consecutive weeks. He complained about the schedule. But it did not sound like he planned to skip one of these tournaments. He actually needs the ranking points. And well, as the Masters events are mandatory he can't pull out of Hamburg due to injury or exhaustion as long as he is still playing in Rome.

Re: Hamburg Entry List/Fact Sheet (updated April 30, 2008)
Yes I thought the same which was why I found it odd when I read that he had already said he wasn't playing Hamburg before Rome had even started, I guess his words were just misunderstood. Thanks for answering

What's up with Hewitt? Will he be able to try defending his Hamburg points?
