Sagt mal, kann es sein, dass der Alex ein bisschen rundlich wird? Gestern beim Match in Stuttgart gegen Nadal zeichnete sich deutlich ein kleines Bäuchlein unter dem Shirt ab. Aber ehrlich gesagt, finde ich es total sexy.

He played great qualies, but had to retire after the 2nd set today in his first round against Simon.
It is probably his ellbow problem he had the last time and missed many tournaments which forced him to retire  That's just my guess, did somebody hear it if they said something precise on Eurosport or somewhere else about the reason for his retirement? |

The article is about the fact that Waske-Kohlmann won't be available for the Davis Cup tie, but it also explains why he withdrew on matchpoint in the first round of the qualies: that way, it won't count and he will keep his protected ranking when he comes back.
I've been following tennis for almost 30 years and I had never heard of that rule!
I find it a bit borderline though, they should only be allowed to retire when they're not able to keep playing. Can't he get fined for that? |

It was not matchpoint. It was 6:4 6:6 (2:6) so setpoint. I think the protected ranking rule is very good and it's fair that Alex still has the chance to get it. This match was a mistake. He wasn't fit so I think it is fair that it doesn't count
