Default London Indoor tournament?

I know its been years since the London indoor tournament. Does anyone know why it was scrapped.
We could so do with another tournament in the UK and not on grass!
London defo needs a big event, im sure it would attract big names!

I don't know why the tournament was originally dissolved however I very highly doubt that London will receive an indoor tournament in the near future what with the end of year Masters tournament coming to the city next year. I agree that we definitely need/deserve a non-grass tournament however I think cities other than London should be considered i.e Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Bristol etc

i was at the tournament the last time it was held. during the day sessions the attendence was pretty poor, but for the evening sessions it was sold out. maybe it was due to the problem of attracting people during the day (and outside of grasscourt season).

are you only saying bristol cos you're at uni there??

seriously though we do need a tournament not on grass and i hate to admit it, not in london. still i cant wait for the masters cup, as i live like 10 minutes from the 02.
