well flo, andrei retired in the 2d set (0/1) after loosing the first set 2/6
they said his back was hurting him too much...his back often hurts him. I don't like it...he may have been still tired from his match in DC

Hello. I am a big fan of Andrei and I found this forum by googeling his name. I had no idea that he has fans all over the world. In Romania there are many people who still think that Andrei Pavel sings (because of the stupid Marcel Pavel singer)...Anyway, nice to meet you all nice people.

That's true. Last autumn when I first met him, I was so happy that I told everyone "Hey, I met Andrei Pavel"..And most of them asked me, "The singer?"

I saw him play at Sibiu.

It was pretty damn hard to get a ticket, but I HAD to go. Actually, I won one. There was an online chat with Andrei, and at the end he had to choose 3 winners.I was one of the lucky ones.

Well, after that it got even better. I work for a sports newspaper and I got an invitation to the photographs side. So, I took many pictures of him. Some videos too. It was great.

I was impressed of how nice it is.

Here's a link to an article I wrote after the games in Sibiu. It's about a young tennis player, Ciprian Porumb Jr, who is considered to be the new Andrei Pavel. Andrei himself says Ciprian will be a great player.

there was a contest with tickets prizes and i didn't know?? ah well,prolly because i gave up crappy prosport forum ages ago

cindy dear i never left andrei,just the romanian forum because there are some unpleasant presences around from time to time (not on andrei's thread tho usually..)

the tickets contest was not on prosport forum. i said i work for prosport. the contest was on csufans.ro They are the fans of the CSU Atlsssib basketball team.

I save all photos I find on the internet, so I don't actually know to whom they belong. As you might have seen on my site, in the "Poze" section, I share all the pictures I have taken. I'm glad you don't mind that I used one of your pictures.

I do have more in my photobucket account.... and I have a lot more from this years Aust Open coming soon.

All of this years will have a © tag on them but I didn't know how to do that before this year so anyone may have taken them. If you want to see them for your personal use then that's fine, but if you want to use any on the site I'd rather © them first ☺
