This is what I managed to find here in General Messages.
first he had some problems with his right thigh and called bastholt in the second set and during a rally in the first game of the third set he tripped, hurt his ankle and called it a day

Yeap, this is totally right
He had a medical time out in the 2nd set, so that he could be treated on the right thigh ( with a very nice massage on court ) and then in the 3rd set he tripped after a returnshort, fell and stopped playing 
It was so sad, he fought so hard!!!!
