I'm 18 and only started playing tennis this year (3 months give or take a week or 2), I'm pretty happy with the way things are going and want to become as good a player as I possibly can. I know that it's hard to judge seeing as none of you have seen me play but how good could I become, in your guys/galls opinions, seeing that I've started so late
?
(babble talk coming up in olive green)
I'm happy with my strokes and serve, they're all pretty inconsistent but improving weekly, one-handed backhand feels natural but I force myself to hit two-handers as well. I hit 4 aces in the last set I played, 2 of which came in a tie-break (which I had points to win but then DF'd.... and then did it again
). Happy enough with movement so far and physical condition is improving, foot work is at times pretty good and at times terrible. I also like to practice left-handed every now and then, which is probably a waste of time but I kinda enjoy it. The thing that strikes me when I watch the good players playing is how hard they hit the ball.... there are a couple of 8 or 9 or 10 year old girls at the club who would probably bagel me (they're really good though, my coach seemed pretty impressed by them anyway).
So how high could I realistically go with a lot of dedication, would it be realistic to want to be able to challenge for a club championship in say 5 years time?
?? (be honest but kind - I'd really love to not suck at tennis

, I've played plenty of sports but have never loved playing them like I do with tennis

)
(I gave myself a 3

..Sorry for the long post)
