No, not really. Nevertheless I breaked him in the third again, at the end I was back into the match.
Are you satisfied with your overall performance?
Yes, absolutely. I had a couple of months off before the tournament, and naturally I’m not that kind of player who comes back and wins immediately some more matches. I owe this to my service which has stucked me through this week. I hope I can trust on it tomorrow, too.
It’s a bit unusual, that you are playing in Halle. Most of the other Americans play Queens. How do you feel here?
I’m here the first time and I really like it. I’ll definitely come back. The food is great, the hotel, too. The circumstances are quite perfect, that is a perfect week for us.
Now Roger Federer is waiting. How good do you know him?
Last time we fought each other he won 6:2, 6:2. Tomorrow it’ll be hopefully a better party. If I play better I’ll have the chance to beat him. Roger is the player I favour to play against. But he’s also the best.
What is your comment about the German crowd here?
Well, they really love Rainer, don’t they? But I love it, when the crowd is firing him up euphorically, this is more fun for me. I love to play against good opponents. It’s great to beat a top 10 player, especially in his home.

Have been in Halle Monday through to Friday which was sooo cool!!

Hes been drawn against Victor Hanescu at Nottingham! Tough match as Hanescu played well against Ivanisevic but Id assume Mardy should win this one |
