Re: Jamie Baker
Jamie qualified to play in the Bronx Challenger where he lost in the 1st round to Peter Wessels. The match was really exciting and Jamie really impressed me. He could have easily won the match.

Re: Jamie Baker
Here are some pictures from Jamie's 1st round qualifying match against Brendan Evans today.
He played pretty well except in the 3rd set he was broken when serving for the match the first time. Thank goodness he had an insurance break

Re: Jamie Baker
Thank you for all of your pictures!
I notice Jamie is now wearing Boris Becker clothing.. he's the first ive noticed to be wearing it [obviously due to his previous endorsement from Volkl.].
Sorry..nothing else to add.. just pointing it out

Re: Jamie Baker
Jamie has made it through to the final round of qualies.
6-4, 6-2! Great result, plays Bopanna or Cuevas in the final round!

And his 3rd round loss He was up a double minibreak in the first set tiebreak. I really thought he had it:

Re: Jamie Baker
Once again thank you for all the pictures...!
So based on the matches that you have seen Jamie play, what would you say that he has to improve or what is missing from his current game that is holding him back from breaking into the top 200 [and in the future maybe the top 100... ]?

Your welcome and it was my pleasure!
I think Jamie has enourmous potential to rise in the ranking. He plays well and comes up with amazing shots, but sometimes, he lacks the consisenty to finish it off. (That was more the story at the Bronx Challenger). At the US Open, he played really well in the first two rounds, really fighting back. In 3rd round qualifying match, he really had his chances in the first set tiebreak. He got down an early break in the 2nd set, but broke back. But then after being broke again, that was it. Such a shame because I really think he could be a solid top 100 player. He impressed me a lot.

Re: Jamie Baker
Hopefully he'll hit another rankings high at the end of US Open and be top 200 by year end!
Seems to like it on American hard courts!
With another good draw he may make the Aussie Open main draw...he usually starts the season well
