Default Back where he belongs - Tim in the Top 5!

Well done to Tim for making the RG semis, and in some style!
Now that he's done that, Henman will be ranked in the top five of the Entry System after Roland Garros. If he outlasts Nalbandian (for instance, should Guga beat him in the quarters tomorrow), Tim will be number four, otherwise five.

Currently the positions of the top 10 are:
1. Federer 5610
2. Roddick 4695
3. Coria 3490*
4. Henman 2545*
5. Ferrero 2510
6. Moya 2460
7. Nalbandian 2425*%
8. Schuettler 2225
9. Agassi 2150
10. Hewitt 1700*%

*still in at Roland Garros
% still to play quarterfinal

Very nice company to be in, but the big test will be to remain in the top eight for the whole year. He has had seemingly insurmountable leads in the past esp. in 2001 where he should have made the Masters Cup...but didn't.

That is good news, I hope he'll be able to maintain that position throughout the year.

I never dream about that because for me, I was not good enough to beat those guy.

Maybe the sky will fall?

Amazing how just a few months ago, Tim was not even ranked high enough to be seeded at the US Open.

Well, he's 5th, now he just needs to keep up the good work.

A final at Queen's should assure Tim the fourth seed (but not quite the ranking) at Wimbledon. Even so, I expect the folks at the AELTC will give him some help . Nalbandian and Ferrero aren't playing this week so can't gain.

Oh well, that didn't last long. Tim will be 6th, just 5 points behind Juan Carlos Ferrero on Monday. He's 125 behind Nalbandian, so it's now more difficult for the AELTC to promote him to fourth seed. But I'm sure they can find some way to do it
