Re: Kei Nishikori
Wow
Excellent win for Kei
Sa is a good player, I remember him when he made the Wimbledon Quarter Finals a few years back.

Re: Kei Nishikori
Kei could play Kunitsyn, another qualifier or Monfils.
As long as he stays away from Monfils, I will be happy.
I think Kunitsyn may be a bit out of his league at the moment unfortunately

Re: Kei Nishikori
i rather see him face Kunitsyn or mofils than another qualifier. even if he lose, he will be given a good test and we'll know more about his game in terms of where he stand.
Ill give him a 40% chance against Kunitsyn, n 15% against mofils.

You're right, the french team was the champions.
wonder what made me thought the brazillians won ...maybe cos they broke a record in one of their matches made me remember them.

Re: Kei Nishikori
well i saw kei in LA.. i actually ballkidded for him during the qualies. at the time, i didnt really pay attention to him actually, i was basically staring at the ball the whole time -____- but from what i remember, he likes to grind it out at the baseline and from what ive seen, he hits amazing passing shots when his opponents do get to net. compared to some of his opponents, he lacks power but he plays smartly. i think during his match with moodie in the LA MD, it was super mental. he started off strong, he actually had an early break, up 2-0 but then lost like.. a couple straight points after that -___- i didnt watch the whole match but i watched the end, he got insanely fustrated and even threw his racket once. that actually surprised me, wasnt expecting that from him.

hey thanks xpress0h for sharing what u know abt kei.
i hope he can develop his baseline game to an all court game, volleys and net points are very entertaining. Most of the Asian players on my sigy can play that style of game.
He's around 17yr, probably still developing physically and mentally. So i don't think power will pose too much problem. But his mentality will have to come with experience and if he can figure things out. Even great players like Federer wasn't born with the mental strength he has today!...this reminds me of Xavier Malisse, who i think his game developed alot faster than his mentality.
Did you by any chance saw Kei's serving speed, 1st or 2nd serves? I'm just wondering...although his match with Moodie probably wasn't play on a court with lots of facilities.
