*faint* "My 2 boys" won.

That's the good thing with slumps, you enjoy every little win much more.

There are some pics on the Gepa website, but all with watermarks, unfortunately.

I promised myself not to post in here until Gael won a main tour match. Well he finally did it. Congrats young man, keep it up.

No, Tarik (it's easier than Benhabiles) is in Paris and waiting for him - that's why I thought Gael was going to skip Pörtschach. But I completely agree he needs matches and I'm glad he plays there.

Benhabiles attend Monfils

Thanks Truc. I hope this new coaching partnership lasts a lot longer than the previous ones.

I'm pumped for the Lee matchup, last time they played Gael smashed 25 aces in a 3 set match, which he won. I wanna see him play A-Rod.

In L’Équipe today:
Quote:

Et là, tu n’as personne à regarder. Tu hésites entre t’énerver et déprimer. J’ai choisi de me battre. »
DOMINIQUE BONNOT
He tells what he is doing in Pörtschach. He's completely alone there, in the countryside, with only Austrian channels on TV, it’s a bit tough to be alone all the time, but „regenerating“.
He really sounds eager to play, but he feels a pain in the foot and the hip, he's a bit worried because of that. He doesn't want to be "dead" for the French Open either. But he definitely wants to win and to give his best, otherwise he would have already lost in the first rounds.
He says he saw Roddick's matches and he's playing well.

Difficult to imagine that no other channels are available in a players' hotel. Maybe he does not know how to handle the TV. But if it is true, I do pity him, our TV programme is .

Well, Gael sometimes tends to exaggerate a little bit. Maybe the reception of the other channels is not so good or he only has CNN, I wouldn't watch CNN one week long either.

He is doing well so far, nicely going for his shots! He broke back when Roddick was serving for the set and won 4 games in a row then. Roddick is playing poorly, sure, but Gael does look pretty good, much more consistent than in the past few months.
I thought the first set would be deciding, not sure if Roddick is going to make a big effort to come back from a one set down now. But Gael is struggling a little bit on his service game...

Edit: he finally holds, Roddick really plays very poorly. He looks like he's playing an exhibition. Never mind, we'll take it.

Roddick might want to get to Paris, but Gael should take the cake, when it is offered to him. Winning is always nice.
