Re: Simone Bolelli aka Superbol
I watched Simone play Nico this week - I have to say - man is he hot! That black sleeveless outfit he was wearing was just
But more importantly he seems like he has what it takes to move up in the rankings. I was very impressed with his play.
Hope he continues to climb in the rankings.

Re: Simone Bolelli aka Superbol
Bolelli won in the tie-breaker against Grosjean His first round opponent is Serra soa good chance to build on his qualification.

Re: Simone Bolelli aka Superbol
Bolelli lost 67 62 62 unfortunately. He will have better days and I have no explanation for the poor form in the last 2 sets.

It probably was.
I hate when they make the qualifiers play on the first day. Doesn't seem fair.
As soon as I saw that he had to go to a third set, I had a feeling that he'd be too tired to win the match. Especially after Saturday where there were so many rain delays and they didn't finish until really late.
They should automatically give the qualifiers in masters series events Monday off...

Re: Simone Bolelli aka Superbol
I saw his match against Grosjean on Sunday and he was great (the first set was terrible, but the rest made up for it). I'll follow his results more closely in the future, I liked what I saw.
When he missed a BH, he missed it really badly, the ball was always landing in the bottom on the net, that was a bit shocking, lol. But this "little" problem with the BH aside ^^, he showed a good variety in his game, wasn't afraid to finish the points at the net and I was nicely surprised by his mental strength. Grosjean seemed totally in control of the match and when he broke at the beginning of the 3rd set, I asked my friend if he wanted to leave because it looked like an easy win from then on. I'm glad we stayed, the 3rd set was just great. Nice shots from both and except one poor game from Grosjean when Simone broke back, they both were playing very enjoyable tennis and put up a real fight. The most exciting match of the week-end, there was a great atmosphere, the crowd was totally into it - they got a little ovation at the end.
I'm not surprised he lost on Monday, he didn't look tired at all on Sunday, but it certainly was mentally very demanding.

Re: Simone Bolelli aka Superbol
And since he lost to Serra: I know Serra doesn't look very impressive ^^, but I also saw Serra-Horna on Sunday and Serra was really playing well. He drove Horna completely nuts (although Horna was looking great on Saturday), so you never know with Serra, he might have played a great match yesterday too, he's totally unpredictable. The loss to Serra isn't necessarily as bad as it sounds.

Re: Simone Bolelli aka Superbol
Yes I think Serra is in a little bit of form and Bolelli was surely tired from the Seba match. All of this meant he lost yesterday. Simo will have better days and he did well just to qualify.

Re: Simone Bolelli aka Superbol
Yeah! A thread for Simone!!!
He´s one of my favourite players since last year in Monte Carlo. I watched his matches there and I saw him in Halle 06 and last week in Hamburg. He´s very talented and of course he´s hot!
I will see him in 3 1/2 weeks in s´Hertogenbosch! I´m so happy...
