I saw the 2 1/2 games of the match and Gastón looked quite concerned about Horna. He looked serious during the handshake and afterwards he stayed talking to him and asking him questions with a worried look.
He´s on Court 2 against Guzman tonight so we won´t be able to see him. They´ve only played once before: Gastón beat him on grass in Wimbledon 2002!
GOOD LUCK GASTON!!!

Well, I'm not surprised Gaston felt that concerned about Horna. I mean, they seem to be getting on well on the tour. I mean, every time I see some shooting from Tenis Pro, and that those are together, they always seem to have a good time......I repeat it, hope it's not too serious.

I saw Coria last night talking about Gastón very nicely during an interview on TV. He said he enjoys so much to watch play Gaston because he is a real talent I think it was a nice gesture from Coria.

Yes, I just hope Lucho's hamstring is strained and not torn cause if it's torn then he will be out for months. Lucho has an Argentine coach and trains with a lot of the Argie players.
Difficult times ahead for Gaston.

Re: Tequilia, Nachos, La Quebrada Cliff Divers, Lazing on the beach Acapulco Thread
Gaston won 1-6 6-3 6-2 and no retirements were needed this time around. Every step is a small one and there is a long way to go and now he plays Ferrero in the quarter finals.
I am not going to get overexcited about this, he has taken advantage of his opportunity and now it's time to keep going.

Re: Tequilia, Nachos, La Quebrada Cliff Divers, Lazing on the beach Acapulco Thread
WE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I´m SOOO happy! Gastón has been needing something like this! As he says, playing like he´s been playing, every player was difficult, and Guzmán had won his three matches in Acapulco so he was full of confidence against a devalued Gaudio.
But Gastón served well and fought each point from the second set on. I was watching a boring Dulko match on Centre Court (hoping they´d cut to Gastón´s match) and one kept hearing the clapping from the court next to it.
I know Ferrero will be difficult, but even if Gastón loses, the main thing is that he´s tasted success again and showed a good attitude during 90 minutes of the match. He won´t feel such a loser and he should face the QF in a better frame of mind.
GOOD LUCK GASTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good that he could taste success again and feel how good it is to leave the court as the winner. Ferrero won't be easy but who could, given Gaston's situation? Good luck!!

I was not sure what to expect this morning when I logged on, but as I can Gaston did a great job I hope this win will help him progress a little more.
One step at a time; thats all.

well said Reiko, i can't agree more
Unfortunately, the match is really too late for me, but i'll wish for a good surprise when he'll wake up tomorrow morning. Vamooos Gaston!
