Well that's a bit of poetic justice. Labadze wins over Nadal through a walkover, and then loses through a retirement. I hope now Safin doesn't get injured in the final if there is to be some more poetic justice.

Geen idee. Het enige wat ik erover gelezen heb (in Humo) dat de zender Sporza gaat heten. Roland Garros kan ik ook wel op de Franse televisie zien, dus het zou plezant zijn als we bijvoorbeeld eens iets konden meepikken van de kleinere tornooien. Wishful thinking allicht |

I'm not saying I'm happy, it's just that I thought Nadal should have been there instead of Labadze, and things tend to equal each other out in the end. On the contrary, I am sad to see Labadze leave like this because I had high hopes for him this season.

Safin into Final After Labadze Retires
Marat Safin moved through to his first clay court final since Barcelona last year after Irakli Labadze retired with a back injury after just five games. Ladadze, a semifinalist at the Pacific Life Open last month, was leading 3-2 in the first set but was in too much pain to continue. Safin, who reached the Australian Open final earlier this year, will await the winner of Saturday's second semifinal between German qualifier Florian Mayer and Juan Ignacio Chela. Mayer is appearing in his first ATP semifinal while Chela reached the last four in Acapulco in February.
