It used to be a chaos when live-score threads were allowed in GM and I remember having lots of reported posts a day because of wrong scores and things like that. All it did was to create problems and a lot of work to us, because we couldn't catch up on so many posts to delete thing.
As Carlita said, having the tournaments forums, it's much easier to find a specific live-score thread, and only people interested in reading how a certain match is progressing will go there avoiding (or reducing) all the unnecessary posts such as "good job" or "what a choke".
I've gived point by point information on many matches in the past in the tournaments forums and they've been a success. Unfourtunatly I haven't been able to do it lately, but if any of you want to volunteer, you're free to do it. I agree, it would be really exciting to follow it, when you can't watch it on tv, rather than follow it through a live-score site

I know that allowing these kind of threads in GM will only create more confusion and disconfort among members.
