If you do this, I will jump off of the Empire State Building..and if I happen to live, I will never play TT again.
Really though, I voted no with a passion!

NO NO NO ATP are ruining Tennis with Round Robin which means all those muppets at the top rankings will continue to win and go far at tournaments. Don't do the same to TT.

Why should we change it when it's successful at the moment?? Let's keep the knock-out

Re: Should we bring the Round Robin Format to TT in 2007?
I don't like the round robin idea as well. I think TT should stay somewhat similar to the atp cicuit. So if one day all event should be plazed with RR format I think we will have to adopt this for TT as well. (I hope this day will never come but I fear it will )
As long as RR is just a test in ATP we should stick to our knock-out-system. But maybe we should test RR in one tournament?

Me too Ryan, me too.
Honestly, don't make the TT Mangers Board = De Villiers in my mind. Y'all don't want me to dislike you with such a passion as I do that man.

I really dont like Round Robin ..... I prefer knockout system but to be more realistic
Maybe we should test RR in Adelaide....

Re: Should we bring the Round Robin Format to TT in 2007?
I will vote positive! The idea to play at least two matches before go out is not so bad (the chance to go out in the first round with perfect score and slightly worse TB is minor). And the 13 tourneys are not so big and always there is an alternative tournament, so who wanna play RR - let him play, who likes only the classic system - he can still play in the old format.
Let's try first 2 or 3 RR tourneys and see what happen

Imo it's better to have a clear decision, either we bring it for the 13 tourneys or not at all.

Re: Should we bring the Round Robin Format to TT in 2007?
I personally don´t like the idea of RR on the ATP Tour. I will neither vote "no" nor "yes" because it seems to be not yet decided what the rules and changes in TT for the next year are. If TT will be very close to ATP next year, like only the best 24 ,or whatever, players can play any tournament without qualies, no matter when they sign in....then we should also play RR at those 13 tournaments to make it as realistic as possible.

Re: Should we bring the Round Robin Format to TT in 2007?
I think we should try it at one of the challengers during Davis Cup Week or something, just to give RR a go, but maybe carry on with the knock-out system in ATP events.

most of the votes are in and it's fairly clear to see what the majority of TT players want
