Eiffel Tower, Pigalle & Moulin Rouge, BNP Paribas Masters Paris Berçy
Fab has got a WC to play at the BNP Paribas Paris Berçy event.
Here's the announcement on the official site of the tournament:
Les deux premières wild-cards pour le BNP Paribas Masters 2006 ont donc été attribuées par la direction du tournoi à deux joueurs français : Arnaud Clément, vainqueur cette année à l'Open 13 et Washington, et Fabrice Santoro, notamment quart de finaliste à l'Open d'Australie en 2006.
Fab, together with Arnaud Clément got the 1st 2 WC. His QF at the AO this year gave him that right.
I don't have particular expectations. Just want Fab to have fun and of course, remain injury free. I wanna keep in mind that the Shanghai Masters Cup is the goal...............

Re: Eiffel Tower, Pigalle & Moulin Rouge, BNP Paribas Masters Paris Berçy
Fab has been interviewed on Friday. Here's the link where you can find the interview (audio). It's all in French.
http://www.fft.fr/bnpparibasmasters/?id=2052
Basically, he says that Berçy is his last tournament before the Masters Cup in Shanghai. He feels ready for a good fight, hopes he can have a level of play good enough to go through the 1st round. He's satisfied with his latest results, especially in Moscow. He's gonna play a Frenchie but this doesn't bother him as much as it was at the beginning of his career. He will play against Julien -a friend- without questioning himself too much. He likes this surface because he can play good tennis on it. It's a particular crowd, very different from the one in RG, that he's learned to like with years passing by.

You're all welcome. Well, a good win today as their opponents aren't really easy ones. I wish I had coverage of Court 1. No need to dream, I know........
