it's not appropriate to accuse someone in love to money
lyon is logical for him-- between madrid and bercy, he needs to do the best on the last masters, his favorite indoors!
besides, i am going to lyon

He made the cut-off last year without a wild card and his ranking is about 150 places higher now so he has a good chance if the same level of players sign-in.

True but still it's a home tournament, I mean most players on tour take part in ATP events at home.

Re: Entry List
Marat isn't about money, he has been coming in Lyon a lot of time, over the last years, so i don't understand why it would change, sometimes players sign a long term contract with tournament, and they are to come every year!!!

Oh and the ATP events run under a communist system where everyone gets the same amount of money to turn up to an event.
Bigger guarantees in Lyon, Marat draws the crowd. Basic supply and demand.

A few years ago Nadal signed a contract with Marseille's organisation tournament , he was to come every year during a certain period of time.As he couldn't come in 2005 , he asked for less money in 2006 to play there .It might be the same with Marat you don't know

Re: Entry List
Pavel , Hajek , F.Lopez and Garcia-Lopez seem to enter main draw at StP. , due to many withdrawals.
A local tournament takes place in StPriest , near Lyon , a few days before , and the winner has a WC for quallies .
