The future lies in the hands of robin igor thiemo and maybe martin verkerk if he shows up. Next week he won't play Palermo, Maybe challenger on a wild card , don't know??

now we don't belong in the world group , czech republic has two potentially top 10 players, we have 1 player in the top 100.

Too bad that sjeng and martin aren't fit. Hopefully one of the will be back in the top 50 and maybe some of the youngsters

does anyone know why cyril suk quit as the davis cup captain. I know he quit to protest the return of Stepanek, but why?? did they have a falling out?!?!?!?!

It's a long story...in short version...last year Stepanek refused to play in DC because he wanted to focus on his individual tennis and get to Top 10, so Suk didn't count with him for DC then...so then Stepanek didn't play in the Play-off matches against Germany where we lost and got out of the World Group (for the first time!)
Till now it was impossible that Stepanek would play in DC when Suk is the captain, so after Stepanek said he would like to come back, Suk withdrew and said that he wants the best for Czech tennis and Davis Cup with all our best players if it's possible, so he quit and Stepanek can return now. That's all, but Stepanek is now injured and this season is for him already closed.
