The World Cup, not the Wild Card
I know this isn't the place, but it IS the time, and I realllly don't feel like finding a new message board and communicating with a group of fans I've never communicated with before... I was just wondering who here is supporting who and who is surprised with what, so far?
I guess Spain over Ukraine 4-0 was a surprise (the score, not the victory).
U.S. losing to C.R. by 3 goals wasn't expected, but U.S.A.'s ranking is overblown, imo. They are NOT the 5th best team in the world.
Good to see the Aussies get an impressive win over Japan (3 goals in the last 8 min to win 3-1, are you serious???)
France dissapointed, but they'll still go through this round, I think.
Ivory Coast, good story, gave Argentina a tough game... Hope they make it to the next round.
England, well, they didn't play all that well, but they won!
Good to see Saudi Arabia play Tunisia to a draw (dang, would have been a victory had they not given up a goal in the last minute!!!) after such an embarrassing performance in '02.
But yeah. I'm rooting for Mexico, the Aussies, and ofcourse, I love to watch Brazil. They are just stacked. Argentina I also like... but I hear that liking Brazil and Argentina is like rooting for Nadal and Federer... hmm.
