Re: Juan Carlos in Paris
He beat Mahut like 7-6 6-4, not a bad score against a player playing with a lot of confidence. Now he'll play the winner of Santoro/Novak, neither of which are playing that well lately. He's got to be the favorite in that match, even on the surface.
Vamos!

Re: Juan Carlos in Paris
Saved a set point in that first set tiebreak vs. Mahut. Turned out to be crucial.
Next up: Novak, who beat Santoro 6-4, 4-6, 6-0 today. Last match that these two played was at the TMC last year, won comfortably by Ferrero 7-5, 6-3.

Re: Juan Carlos in Paris
I think Ferrero's game matches up well against Novak. I'm pretty confident about this match.
Don't disappoint, Juan Carlos!

Re: Juan Carlos in Paris
You're being a bit harsh he wasn't playing that badly! It's a real shame he's not #1 anymore

I don't feel like i'm being harsh. i'm just telling the truth. The placement wasn't great. Too many of THE FOREHANDS were sailing long. When your fave is #1 you'd expect him to win, i'm just saying...he had a really bad day, that's all.
It's been an amazing long year for jc and he deserves to finish #1. He's tired and he needs to win Houston in a few weeks.

Re: Juan Carlos in Paris
We all have too much expectations for him...lets just hope he gets his rest and is fit and firing to go in 2 weeks time (and regain his rightful no. 1 spot!)

Re: Juan Carlos in Paris
damn it!!!!
you know i really feel like my heart is breaking... i hardly sleep last night and knowing the fact that he's not the no. 1 in both rankings makes me feel really kick Roddick's ass myself!!! (kidding)!
john. charles ur right, i really expected a lot for JC to win!!! but just lie they say, even though he lose, let's always look at the bright side of life!
hey, it wasn't a shame for him not to be no. 1 anymore, at least for the last weeks, he got it.
and also my symphathy for MARK PHILIPPOUSSIS AND SEBASTIEN GROSJEAN.
this guys are my favorite!!!
anyway, thanks to David nalbandian and tim henman for kicking oddick's ass in the last tournaments!
JIRI NOVAK did great, even though beating JC!
VAMOS JUAN CARLOS, for me , you'll always be the no. 1 player in the world!
