oh, and i really hope he can do well in the Champaign challenger. if he gets to the final, i'm thinking about making the 2.5 hour drive down there to see it. it would be only $5 for me to get in! i would love to see JMG v. Delic, or Andersen (though not likely) or Kendrick (also not likely).

Jan-Mike won first round, but then had a horrible loss against a german qualifer
what a wasted chance  the draw was wide open
but it seems like he can win just one match; never two in a row 
what is just wrong with him??

That German qualifier has won an NCAA title and has been playing pretty well lately. He is riding a lot of confidence. Jan-Mike, on the other hand, is not. I suspect that the 3 setter on Tuesday may have taken a little bit out of him, but he hung tough and got both sets to TB's, so he must have doing some things right in this match.
He hasn't put two together since he qualifed for Tokyo a few weeks back. I believe he will work through this.
