His brother finally won a futures yesterday! He played well in some European challengers recently, he beat Ungur on his way to a QF. He will be ranked around 370 next week.

If he keeps this form, Uruguay should win easily against Venezuela!

Good luck Pablo in the USO!!

Well the USO didn't go to plan

Martin has direct entry to the Medellin Challenger next week!

I think DC will be tough, it is hard court and only Pablo has any real experience on hard court.

Uruguay has a 50/50 chance to advance to the WG play-offs now, in my opinion. Assuming Pablo will play the ties next year, and Martin continues to improve, they have a decent chance.

The two seeded teams in Group I next year will be Colombia and Ecuador, I guess. I don't think Uruguay will beat Colombia if they end up playing each other, but Ecuador are very beatable, in my opinion. The Dominican Republic would be tough, but you'd back Pablo to beat Estrella and Martin could beat Hernandez as well.

It's great that Brazil and Argentina went through to the WG, as it makes this continental qualification a little easier.

If they avoid Colombia, I agree

I don't know what happened to Behar, he seemed to improve, even got some wins in challenger (he had a good run in Bogota at the end of last year where he defeated Pere Riba and push to 3 sets Giraldo), but this year I can see in the ranking, he'd only play 4 tournaments. He's definitely better than his ranking says. Probably injured...

As for Senattore, he's still young but I don't know what he can expect considering his very poor results in futures this year

I guess the Cuevas brothers will have to do it on their own!!

Behar was injured last week but I don't think it is a long term thing. He seems to have a regular pattern of entering challengers and losing in qualies but going deep in doubles although he rarlely wins one.

This weekend could be huge for Martin. He has a poor record in Davis Cup and hated hard court, he has never played a hard court tournament even though he seems to have a playing style suited to it. I just hope he can learn from this.

It is fairly obvious that the two of them dominating Uruguay's Davis Cup team has been Pablo's dream all along even though some Uruguayans won't like it because they are half Argentinian.

Senatorre is 20 and ranked over 1000 so I don't think anyone expects great things from him. Rodrigo Arus seems the best of their 3 youngsters.

I think Uruguay beat Colombia in 2011 before Pablo's injury.

I think Pablo will be seeded in KL if he doesn't take paternity leave, the baby is due soon.
