I don't know if the doubles trophy ceremony was televised but Brian and Rick said some nice things. Rick thanked his family for driving down almost daily to watch him. Brian said that he wondered if the guy who screamed,'USC sucks.', was still there watching (both Brian and Rick are USC grads). An official from the SCTA told Rick that they were proud of him because he's been one of the sections best players for over 20 years. Then Rick's wife and child (I think that is who they were, but am guessing.) came down and took a photo with him. Both guys signed alot of autographs.

As for the singles trophy presentation, Andre's son, Jaden Gil, came down and hugged his Dad. Andre really loves him son alot, you could just tell. Gil Reyes (Andre's strength coach) was sitting in the section over from me and I said,'Hi.' to him and he said,'Hi.' back. He is a nice, friendly man.

Yesterday, I was watching Erlich and Ram practice on the grand stand court. Erlich saw me taking photos and smiled at me. He seemed sweet.

Yes, the match was on TV and they actually showed the trophy presentation. Both duos seem like nice people. The announcers were saying that this was most likely the last win for the Americans. And they won having been given a wild card! With the change in the doubles rules the announcers were also wondering how many of the doubles teams will actually be still playing doubles by next year. A shame really but if the idea backfires hopefully the powers that be will go back to the old way. I loved watching the doubles last night.
