Good question. But hmm...you know, I'm really not sure about this one. It would make sense that PMs shouldn't be shared, but I couldn't really find anything in the rules about it. I'll let someone else comment on that one.

Anyways, I don't have power to edit other users' posts in this thread. I'm strictly GM, NT, and Off-Topic.

EDIT- learned this via Andreas:

"From the rulebook:
Posting restrictions

Do not post private messages from staff in the public forum and do not repost threads or comments that have been deleted / edited by a moderator.

Both actions are prohibited on this forum and are looked upon with grave severity, and will lead to sanction against the offender."

Understand that mods have tendency to cover them selves but hiding the truth is something else. I was eating someone shits day after day for years and now my every post where I mention that poster gets deleted, i am getting baiting infractions based on insinuation !!!!!, etc...

OK, run this place however you want but sooner or later you'll stay alone here
Not sure what post you mean, but if you mean this one:

It's post #805 in this thread and it wasn't deleted.

If you spot anyone doing the same thing, in terms of relentlessly making repetitive threads about players they dislike, feel free to report them.
But it’s not entirely repetitive because Ferrer, Monaco, Granollers, and Robredo face different opponents each time. PFL has good analysis on each of these players, whether they have a “Sweet forehand” or “teasing and pleasing net skills” or “booming serve.” He also has different predictions for each one, whether the vultures would lose in 2 sets, or 3 sets, or 4 sets.

And I can't recall anyone, fan of the "vultures" or not, being actually offended by these threads.

By this same logic, you should delete half the posts in every Nadal thread. “He choked”, “disgusting for tennis”, and “moonballing Dull” are much worse and pointless than PFL’s analysis.

But fine, I can see the decision will not be changed as of now.
Bannings based on repetitive opinion are just very confusing to me and I don't know what exactly is in or without limits.

Did I miss something?
If a member receives 15 infractions over the course of their time here, they get a warning that their next infraction will lead to a year ban. He already received the warning, so the new infraction lead to the year ban.

Just to clarify. So he wasn't really banned for using his "clichés", he was banned for repeatedly making threads about players he dislikes, right?

Cause most of the posters do use the clichés ("pusher", "more talented lost", "to end this nonsense joke",...) or call players by nicknames (Nadull, Frauderer, Vulture, Divatrov,...) and get away with that.

I'm not criticizing, I just want to know what is or isn't allowed on the forum.

Jeez, my sig is full of nicknames too.

It's basically the definition of trolling. The players that he repeatedly bashes do have fans, and it isn't fair that they have to deal with these disparaging match threads every time their favorite players have a match.

We asked him nicely to stop doing it over and over. He refuses to stop, despite repeated bans, and he knows that he's going to get infractions by doing it. There's no bias here. He knows he's doing something that isn't allowed, knows the consequences, and he continues to do it. So we take action. I can totally understand that some people are upset about it, but there are rules, he's been warned many, many times, and...well, that's all.

Hi there :-)

So I convinced my sandbox friend to start a Tennis Tipping career with me as his doubles partner.

So he registered to the forums three days ago. Now we missed the deadline for our first challenger, which is no problem cause fortunately the manager accepted his email commitement, but of course he keeps asking me now how long the activation usually takes. I don't really remember cause mine is so long ago....so could anyone tell me?

Please don't get me wrong, I don't want to be pushy to anyone, would just be good to know for the planning of the tournaments.

Kind regards

Goldmund

Everyone can create a thread for their favorite player. If you're talking about a subforum then we consider players for those every six months or so. There usually isn't much interest when we put a call out.

Sorry. It is mostly Sonja1989 who deals with accepting new accounts, and she's been busy lately. I've forgotten all about checking new accounts. Can you give me the username of your friend and I'll look into it?

So private messages from mods are not allowed to be posted, yet private messages from normal users are?

Makes total sense to me.

Forumers can't post personal information on posters that they would not want shared. This would include PMs of that type.
