great work Eden!

i'd be curious to know how many times a player was ranked #1 as opposed to pick up points from being in top 10. for example, does a big chunk of fed's 2000pts come from being ranked #1?

Some faith in MTF restored although given Dull's fluke year MTF was flooded with new Dull tards hence his rise from 8th to 5th.

Still, it's good to see MTF as a whole still has some common sense.

Full credit for your hard work Eden.

I'm happy Roger still leads by a huge margin having suffered from such a horrible year.

Now I'm expecting a conclusion of the Most Disliked Player thread.

That's a really interesting issue:

Roger received 10 points 126 times, Del Potro 18 times, Djokovic 55 times, Tsonga 11 times, Nadal 53 times, Haas 6 times, Dimitrov 15 times, Wawrinka 5 times, Murray 25 times, Gasquet 11 times.

Del Potro has a nearly 200 points lead ahead of Djokovic even though Novak received 3 times as often 10 points compared to Del Potro.

Nadal has a few more points than Haas but Rafa received nearly 9 more often 10 points compared to Tommy.

You can see that it's not always an advantage to receive the maximum points many times when you get fewer points then on an average.

Last year he had a nearly 1000 points lead ahead of Del Potro but this year it's around 600 points.

Roger had 2117 points last year, Del Potro 1194, Djokovic 1192

This year Roger has 2063 points, Del Potro 1453 points, Djokovic 1259

That means that Roger lost some points but Djokovic and especially Del Potro gained points.

True. This is a tennis forum. More than the top players who get more exposure, magazine spreads etc. get recognized .

Good to see fed win again. Dull is a bit high but Duarte explained that "issue"

Thanks Eden!

It's just as I expected. Roger gets over 60% of his pts from being ranked #1. Rafa/Novak get about 45-50%, Andy 30% and DelPo gets only 12% of his pts from being ranked #1. He just gets on people's top10 so much more often than these guys even if he's not their absolute favorite. DelPo = not hated (too much), loved by few and liked by many.

Similar for Haas/Rafa, Rafa may have more dedicated fans, but Tommy's generally liked by more people.

Now of course, this assumes everyone answered honestly, without agenda
