Default Federer will win at least one indoor title

Let's face it, who's gonna stop him? Slamray is out, only Djokovic has a shot, but he's not playing Basel, will tank Bercy almost certainly. Federer looks super sharp in his double match. I say Fed will win Basel and one of WTF/Bercy.

Seriously how low it would be if he fails to win any? On his favourite surface when few top players are fit/bothered.

He will need to play really, reaaaaaaally good.
Something he only did in particular matches this year, including times when he played amazingly and then horrible the next round.

...That won't exactly help him.

As we saw last year, Del Potro is very capable of stopping him... I agree he'll probably win one more title this year, but it's not a foregone conclusion by any means.

He does he have a shot at winning Basel ?

He'll have to avoid Nadal, Berdych, Gasquet, Del Potro, Wawrinka and Raonic, that seems like a long shot.

Federer, Nadal and Djokovic pander to plutocrats and charge huge appearance fees. The "trickle down effect" means that tournaments like the Heineken Open now have to pay appearance money for racketeers that many of us have never heard of. It's close to extortion.

At the end of Federer's first round match at the Australian Open a fawning interviewer asked about his kids and if he had bought coach Stefan Edberg a birthday present - no, by the way, the privilege of knocking up with 'King Roger' was enough of a present apparently.

If Federer wins Basel his chances at the WTF also increase so I don't quite agree with the original post.
