I saw World War Z too, it was watchable but not too great, not the best script, Contagion (2011) with Matt Damon had the similar topic and I liked it more.
Johnny Depp's latest, The Lone Ranger, hasn't got good reviews at all. But then again Johnny's always been a bit wacko.

I'm a bit fed up with Johnny Depp. He's nursing his wacko image a bit too much, IMO.

World War Z was drivel. Brad? Still would, but he needs to make some better film choices.

French grammar is more a maze than a framework. It's complicated but each rule comes with a gazillion exceptions. Result, you can not depend on the rules. There's no logical structure there.

Then again, maybe German is easier for me to understand because my first language is a germanic language. German and Dutch are sister-languages.
Just like Andreea will have an easier time understanding the French grammar due to her first language being related to French, following similar grammar principles.
I see what you're saying and I think you've said similar in the past. I speak a Germanic language as my first language too, although I'd say, from what I know, that English is much farther away from German than Dutch is. When I was in high school, I took Spanish and German (and French, of course) and found Spanish much, much easier than German. I thought at the time it was because Spanish is so similar to French. The German-English connection meant little to me in terms of rules and understanding. In fact, I found the rules of German kind of... annoying, I guess. Needless to say, I remember almost nothing of German, not too much of a surprise since I only took it for two years.

Edit: And I generally like rules.

I think it is more lickely to see him play his R16 match on Thursday than on Wednesday but this is not 100% until the schedule comes out.

Quiet in here.

I just saw that Andreea has been defending Lleyton on twitter.
Andreea.

Hmm...odd. Maybe it's just me then but German grammar makes a whole lot more sense to me or maybe it's just that Dutch is indeed closer to German than English to German.

Anyway, my holiday has started well with a brilliant, brilliant concert of Bruce Springsteen. Boy, that man has a LOT of energy. The man clearly loves to perform. He looked like he was having a blast on stage and it translated into the crowd having a blast as well. What a party, that was.

Also in that festival:
Balthazar: a Belgian band but I missed their performance.
Blondie: her voice is no longer strong enough for the high and low notes.
Ben Harper and Charlie Musselwhite: Blues guitarists. They were brilliant but they would have come over better in the evening instead of in the middle of the day.
Santana : he was a bit miffed that the crowd didn't adore him as much as he seemed to think he should be adored. I have to admit that Santana is fantastic but listening to it in the middle of the day in scorching heat for over an hour of the same sort of music is a bit much. I was reminded of a concert I once saw of Gary Moore (another guitar legend) and I enjoyed Moore's concert a whole lot more, I must say.
Keane: I liked them. The singer has a very good voice and he was in a good mood. I was surprised to see just how many hits they have already.

But lots and lots and lots of people were either drunk or high or both at the end of the day. I mean LOTS of people. I hope most of them went home by public transport.

Right, I'm off to go pack for my trip to England.

Springsteen was in Geneva not long ago... It seems all the 50+ of the city gathered there...

As for German, obviously it is way closer to Dutch than English, it seems a bit as if Dutch was just some German dialect if you ask me
