Djoker I think will surpass Nadal in weeks at #1, but Nadal may end up with more slams.

There's just one year end #1 - the points at the end of the year Defending only makes sense for taking it over during the year. Anyway of course if Roger wins everywhere he's going to be #1, same goes for anyone else.

Look. There is a race and the ATP rankings which are 2 different things. Not so hard to get confused, especially since I just wrote a 4 hour marathon blog post and it's 2 am here.

If you're talking about the race, he was actually behind at that stage. He was in the lead after Wimby and OG but Djokovic passed him in Toronto.

If Fed gets to #1 at the end of the year then next year he has nothing to defend to Halle. Only Rafa has nothing at AO next year but
he has 900 points to defend in SA on clay just two weeks after AO. I do not think if Rafa plays AO and then would go to SA. It will not happen.

Because Fed did not play Toronto.

And that's Novak's fault?

Get back in this thread when Federror is within touching distance of Novak let alone Dull's points.

I'm sure he'll go on a tear and win Wimbledon, Toronto, Cincy, USO Shanghai, Basel, Paris, and WTF as

what you seem to be suggesting. Nothing Novak can do there. I admit.

If Djokovic loses points and Fed gains points it could happen. Why not ? IF Del Potro defeat Djokovic in Canada in QF he will get only 180 points and Fed gets to F he will have 600 points. So US open this could happen as well. No one can say what will happen in future but it can happen.

Fed has won only one 250 so far, yet you have him in every final from now on. Ok, it's possible, but not sure how much probable.

The second half of season he can do much better and Murray,Del Potro and other guys as well. Why do you wonder ? What is so tough for you to get? I say it can happen maybe it will not happen but there is a chance, If Fed takes Wimbledon why not ? Last year how Fed got #1 ? IMO after he defeated Novak in SF at Wimbledon and he won Wimbledon. I think Novak had 5000 points ahead back then.

Get your facts together. Last year Novak was around 2800 points ahead and was defending Wimbledon, now Novak has over 4000 and is defending only semis, while Roger is defending the title and will drop more Olympic points as well.

Ok Djokovic has around 4090 points more but after Wimbledon Fed has
only 2800 points to defend and can gain extra points. Djokovic has 5800 points to defend. 1500points are from London so he had 4300 points to defend to London but if he makes a mistake he will lose points. And Fed can gain at US Open 1640 + in Canada/ he did not play/
Basel as well.

If Fed reaches the finals in Wimbledon, I doubt he's going to play Canada and Cincinnati back to back, also he's most likely to skip something from Asian tour.

He's entered for both and it's a good break before they start, so I don't see why he shouldn't play Canada and Cincy. Asian swing is another thing.
