If Murray vs Fed, I say 50-50.
If Murray vs Nole, I dare say 55-45.
Anything can happen. I think Murray has the worst metal issue vs Nadal. He fares better vs Fed nowadays and he is comforatble vs Djoko (like win or loose, it's just the business).

the delusion.

When that roof closed in the final it was easily one of the best matches Fed has played in recent years. How can you say he wasn't 'on'?

I concur this is Murray's best chance. By beating Fed at the Olympics and AO he finally got the monkey off his back about beating Fed in a 'match that mattered'. Not to mention Fed's form has been considerably poorer thus far in 2013 than it was in 2012. Beyond Roger lies a probable Djokovic final - Nolandy matches are usually hard fought, but this is Novak's weakest surface, and the crowd will be right behind Murray.

Don't be silly. While he was a bit streaky against Djokovic, starting from the last game of the second set in the final aagainst Murray, Federer was on fire.

Murray always has a shot, but honestly it is pretty much a 50/50 if he were to meet Federer.

Better chances this year than last but Roger will still be a very hard guy to beat, especially if he is fresh.

One good factor for Murray is that he is gonna play Fed in semi (providing they bot get there) so the pressure of the shinny cup hanging around the court will be less. But Wimby for Fed is similar to RG for Rafa, he will fight till death I'm sure.

the tradesman will dismantle the old serve-botting, hair flicking, weather whinging, slam fluking diva in the SF

the gymnast may prove tougher, however he cannot do his infamous backward lunge splits on a real surface like grass

the winner is already decided IMO, lets move onto the US hard court masters already

Federer as well.

Nadal being in fed's quarter and having a potential blockbuster quarter final match that would take away federere's freshness would have made the edge clearly to murray if that was the route fed had to go to meet him.

Look at the 2 big losses and they have both been at least in part due to fed fatigued and murray playing great.

Fed had a 5 setter vs tsonga and still pushed murray (in slow, night very cold conditions) who hadn't lost a set playing and serving incredible to 5 sets.... i doubt a fresh fed woulnd't have played better and potentially won that match... olypics.. same story with del potro 19-17 in the 3rd set which equals 3 sets by itself going 6-6 each set...

NOt jumping the gun both guys have to play well to get to the semis thats for sure... But lets not forget federer is 8-0 and never been beaten in a wimbly semis..

It will be an epic match.. and anyone who thinks the olympic match is an indicator of this one.... think again

Correct. And a potential final with the #1

Try to maintain this level of lucidity now that Rafa's out, it may surprise you.

Fed's sure found his wimbly form quickly after today's performance no? Hopefully he's just peaked way too early

Murray I think will reach the finals just to get destroyed by Djokovic. Probably Djokovic defeating him in 4 sets.

Murray will comfortably handle Tsonga. Tsonga is mentally a pathetic player. He has a complete package but refuses to use it. Murray will get into his head by grinding it out and will eventually defeat him like he has in the past.

Federer is another story. Federer doesn't have the strong body Tsonga has, but if the guy's ego is unleashed, he can make it a close match with Murray. But logic dictates that Murray finally has figured out Federer after handling him in 3 sets at Wimbledon and grinding it against him at Australia.

Federer admires Murray now but he'll definitely pay him respect by giving him a tough fight. Given Federer's first serve isn't memorable, Murray should his own serve to survive. If not he's playing with fire.

Djokovic will be the main issue of course. Djokovic might not be as Godly as last year but he's still dangerous. If his backhand starts clicking again, not just 50% of the time, Murray will be ran out of the building. Key is for Murray to maintain a 65% first serve, and probably a 55% second serve to have chances. Murray should go for more forehand winners, down the line backhand and forehand attacks. Serve and volley on occasion. Keep Djokovic guessing if he wants to grab this opportunity.
