According to tennis world
Ljubicic turned down Baggy's request to coach him ... and it appears this is before he knew Raonic was a possibility. Personally, I hope Milos
a) makes a call on a new coach fairly soon and
b) hires a full timer.
Know its a huge decision (and therefore maybe you don't want to rush it), but Milos is in a situation where I think he needs some help right now. No, he's not done a horrible job (people writing him off as a one-dimensional player who has no potential for growth really have no clue or really don't watch him) ... and his early losses this clay season have been somewhat understandable. I watched all 4 losses ... Jarko played at an extremely high level, Nadal is Nadal, Verdasco all of a sudden started playing like at top-20/30 player again (was brutal for most of season), and Kohli was also really good. So, sort of good excuses. BUT, if he wants to be a big time player, he's got to beat those guys (ok, not Nadal .. at least not yet) even on clay. Everything since San Jose has been pretty disappointing (probably worst was that 1st round loss in Memphis to Sock .. he should have cruised to the final & probably won against Kei).
My gut tells me Ivan could be a good fit. Hope it happens soon. Can't fumble through rest of European season; gotta 1. get the ship progressing again and 2. pick up at least some points before HC season (get closer to top 10) where he has lots of points to defend.
