Default Madrid FQR: Souza def. Mathieu 1-6 7-6(5) 4-1 ret.

Mathieu had a 6-1 5-3 lead, he was 30-15 up at 5-4 when serving for it and got broken to 30, also had a 4-2 and **5-4 lead in the tiebreak before losing it 5-7. In the decider he got broken twice and retired. I don't know if he was injured or just retired because of frustration but he should've won this very easily

He seriously needs to stop playing and take care of his love. This sucks, there's really no point in him just playing to lose when he's just not up for it.

Default Madrid Q r2: Souza d. PHM 1-6 7-6 (5) 4-1 (ret.)

PHM faces no break pts until serving for the match at 5-4. Broken. Loses the tie breaker, then folds like a cheap tent and retires.

OMG

Just adding to a horrible year...and bringing back some bad "choking" memories.
