American deaths get a lot of publicity because the US is a big, powerful country. As a result, it's all over Twitter and all kinds of media. Is it fair that they get so much more attention than civilians killed by drones? Of course not. But personally, I don't think I'm to blame for knowing/talking more about an incident 5 miles away from my room, than about incidents that are a thousand miles away. It's quite possible that people I know have been injured, and that does make a difference. Given a choice, would I rather save an American over, say, an Iraqi? Of course not. But I'm not given a choice in terms of who I know (and therefore feel more qualified to speak) more about: the lives lost nearby, or the lives lost due to American aggression. I'm not proud of it, but I can't do too much about the reality of localism, or the reality of a nation's dominance, which works in sports as it does in real life.

I don't think this is the right time to start preaching about bias in media.

Somewhere out there, there is a homeless person who once took betting advice from GSMnadal

It's the first thing some think of and I knew that some of the first few posts would be about it.

Yup neither are Syria and Grenada among others.
I agree.

In addition:
Pharma companies falsify studies and tens of thousands die, we know who is responsible but no ones in jail, only fines less than what the company made.

It doesn't happen dramatically like a bomb so no one is alarmed.

Tens of thousands to just a few, why the shock with such a big difference? It's an important question.

My condolences to the unlucky ones regardless.

3 dead now. Based off of the pictures I would be very surprised if the fatality numbers don't dramatically increase.

21 of the injured are rumored to most likely not make it. At ground zero basically of the bomb.

Scuse my language.

But why the FUCK?!?

* Slams Do Not Exist!

Lenders: One thing people need to understand about this so-called weak era is that it was 'weak' for Federer on HC and grass and for Nadal on clay (Federer on clay too Nadal apart) because they were so much better than anyone else, for any outsider the era couldn't possibly be any harder, during 5+ years you had to either beat the best grass/HC player ever or the best clay player ever in every single Slam just to get 1 Slam title.
